| FLying Puppies Well, I am finally going home to Maine in August. I live in California and I have decided to take one of my yorkies with me. I was wondering if anyone can give me any advice on what the regulations are. Will I be allowed to keep her with me? Should I sedate her? Will she be okay to fly? Any advice would be great. Thanks in advance. Frankie

| I havent actually flown with a dog but I flew to KAnsas this summer and I sat by a girl my age with a toy poodle. It was really cool! She had to enter the gates and get on the plane with the dog in her crate and then once she was on the plane, she could take the dog out and set her on her lap! The dog did well because her owner could hold her and stuff, and she brought portable food and water and some treats with her. Then, when it was time to get off she had to put the dog back in the kennel. This isnt official help lol but hope it helps a little.

You generally have to keep them in their bag except when going through security - you hold her and walk through, then back in the bag...

YT 500 Club Member | Hey there, You should check out the "Traveling with Yorkies" section for lots of information on flying with dogs. There's a lot of information there, and if you have other questions, people who have traveled will be more likely to see your thread.
