| Cali Vacation My husband and I are taking our family on a summer vacation to california in the second week of June. June will be the three months since getting our loving furbabies. They are great dogs and they use the potty pads very well. My question is this, they will be at my best friends house for 1 week during this vacation, is there a chance that they will relapse as far as the potty pads go? And more importantly will THEY be ok leaving them for a week somewhere they arent aquainted with? I dont want them to be stressed or feel scared. Any suggestions/opinions? Thanks!!1 |

| Hey! I think they will be fine. But I would let the best friend come over maybe at least once a week (if it's possible) before you leave so they get used to your friend and her smells and who she is, etc. Other than that, I think they will do fine. Potty training MIGHT regress if your friend doesn't stay on top of them like you do. If she gives them free reign of the house... then they most likely will regress, plus in a new setting. If you could possibly bring the dogs over your friends house at least one time before you leave them there may help as well.

| If they don't know your friend very well, I'd strongly suggest taking them over there as often as possible, and even leave them overnight once a week so they will be very familiar with the home and people, and to know you will be back. Have your friend to pick one spot in which to keep the pads and not to change from that area. Where in Cali are you going?

| You should definitely bring them to your friend’s house to explore a few times a week before you actually go on vacation. Show them the location of the pee pad during your visits. It will definitely help!

| We are going to Los Angeles. We will be traveling with 7 kids!!!! Our oldest is 17 yrs and the youngest will be 2 in July. We wanted ONE BIG family vacation before its almost time for our 17yr old to leave the nest. Anyway....i do have an option to leave them with my brother but they have 3 dogs (one of which is a Yorkie) and im torn because while at my best friend there are NO dogs (but there are cats) Im not sure she will stay on top of the potty training (she will love them to death). While my brother is used to potty pads around there house but they do have 3 other dogs. My babies will be 5 and 5 and half months by this time and small. There dogs are older and bigger. One is a Yorkie, one is a havanese, and one is a shi-tzu/chi mix. All are under 20 lbs. |
