| happy ending story This isn't about a yorkie, but a little chihuahua named Squeek. She is a 5 year old, 4.5 lb girl, very very loved by her mom. She has been spayed, micro chiped and also tattooed, just so if she ever got lost mom had a better chance of finding her. Well sadness has happened to her family, her human dad has Alzheimer's Disease, which is so cruel to the person who has it but also to the family members. He has gotten so bad that he didn't recognize Squeek anymore. All he thought was it was a rat going around his house. So he would be chasing her, trying to kill the rat. Squeeks mom kept her safe from him, but she was having a terrible decission to make. Yesterday she asked a friend of mine if she knew anyone who would be willing to take Squeek and give her a home. I am happy to say that in 12 hours we found squeek a new home, with a dog brother, and a cat brother. Her new mom is soooo excited about her. And it turns out that Squeeks original mom knows the new one and is happy about her new home. I just feel so bad for the original mom with all that she is going through, and now she had to rehome her baby. Is it possible to ask for prayers for Donna, having to give up Squeek, and for Squeek herself, hoping she will transistion ok? Thank you everyone.

| I will keep Donna in my prayers. Alzheimer's is such a cruel disease. It is such a terrible thing for both the person with it and with their families as it progresses. I am so happy that Squeek was able to be rehomed and that the person who took her knows Donna. At least this way she can have the comfort of knowing that Squeek is in a good home, as well as possibly seeing her from time to time. I will keep Squeek in my prayers as well during her adjustment and transitition period, that all goes smoothly.
