short corse wirey coat is she a Yorkie?

Can you have a look at my Belle. She is 5 months old weighs almost 7 pounds. I wonder if she has a mix in her because she has a coarse coat..kind of stiff and slow growing. Easy to care for and easy to dry. Can you look at her picture to see if she may be a mix?
Her face is more pointed than my other Yorkie Charlie. She is much bigger as well.
Can I have your comments please?
Does anyone have a Yorkie with a coat like this and if so.. is it a mix and how big did he get?

My Yorkie is 9 mo. old and has never been groomed because his coat has not grown much either, and I have wondered if he is a red legged Yorkie. Yours does look like a Yorkie to me.

Red legged Yorkie???? I've never heard the term. She very much looks like a Yorkie. She looks just like my Daisy Mae.

My Ollie looks a lot like your Belle. He is 16 weeks and has much shorter hair than most of the Yorkies that I've seen. My vet said that he should require a lot less grooming with his coarser hair. Yep, they are Yorkies...sweet sweet Yorkies.

I have heard of the term red legged yorkie before applied before, however not exactly sure what it means Could somebody explain what this is about?
Your puppy looks full bred to me, and adorable Even if she grows to be a little bigger, she still will be a doll . I would not worry. She is a beauty.

I'd read the thread about red-legged yorkies. That was my first thought. She does look purebred though (although I'm in no way an expert).

Your dog looks just like my Sadie. She has needed only one haircut. Very coarse and wiry, almost curly hair. I've often wondered whether she is a mix, but the more I see of puppy mill babies, she looks like one. I got her from a pet store before I knew anything about the horrors of those places. But I love her to pieces and she is the sweetest baby. I'm glad to know I'm not alone in having a coarse-haired Yorkie. Definitely saves money on grooming!

At 5 months old she is still young and you never know what you will end up with.
I kept back a male pup from my last litter. He had fluffy puppy hair until about 12 weeks old. At 5 months old his hair was coarse and short. He is now 1 1/2 and has a beautiful silky coat with the correct coloring. His daddy was the same way.
Often times pups will start out this way and they end up with the nicest coats. But every situation is different and the lines are different so you really don't know what you will end up with.
Your girl looks to have a good amount of hair growth on her so I wouldn't worry too much about it now. And I would definitely say she is all yorkie.
