| Should I consider another furbaby?? Morning All, I have a female yorkie, she will be 2 in May and there is a male yorkie that is 3 that a breeder gave up and he is in a rescue home. Both "babies" are neutered, just to let you know that breeding is not something i would ever be interested in. How about families that have more than one furbaby in the house?? Our girls are grown and gone so it is just Jeff and I at home; grandbabies live 2 hrs away so they come up about once a month... Feedback please! |

| We are getting dog #2 in four weeks. Leo is about to turn three years old. It just felt like the right time and I think it will be good for Leo to have a buddy. I'm nervous about it because I know it's going to be hard work but I know it will be worth it at the end of the day. A rescue is a wonderful thing to do. I say if you can do it financially, go for it!

| I actually have 6 dogs!! I have 2 yorkies...Oliver was my first and when he was 15 mos. i got Brooklyn...they are great together! I love having more than one. Probably will never have 6 again, but always at least two or 3 of these little ones!! Good luck on your decision..

| Definitely go for it! I almost think they're easier when they have a play-mate because they entertain each other!

| When Ginger was 2 we got Bernie (who was a year old rescue at the time). I would be lying if I said there wasn't a period of adjustment. But I love my two furballs and they are great little siblings. Now I think just one would be so lonely. Good luck with whatever you decide. Let us know.

| I have 2 dogs @ this time. Baron is a 16 m.o. Yorkie and Sammy is a 7 1/2 y.o. Papillion. I am adding 2 female Yorkies to the family in May. Then we will have 4. The boys get along great and the girls are each a little over a year old and are spayed. I can't wait to have them all together. Go for it, The more the merrier...

| Be sure to give it a couple of weeks of readjustment and jealousy issues with your current baby. But I think it's a wonderful idea! |

| more than one Yorkie Like they say, YORKIES are like chips, You can't have just ONE!!! Go for it, you will see that your current baby will be much happier with a playmate. I got a female 1-10 and her brother 2-27, the difference in her was so amazing. As soon as we put him on the floor they started playing and have been inseperable since then. She is still a loving little Momma's girl and he is doing his best to take her place. Not that it will ever happen. LOL You will feel better about leaving your girl at home because she won't be alone. We feel better about it for sure. The even slept in the same crate the first night and all the time now. Good Luck....... Sharon, PIXI & SPIKE |

| We got Rupert at the end of Jan and Daphne at the end of Feb. Rupert needed a playmate for while we were at work. They are each others' BFF's! They play fight over toys and things like that, but it's normal. If you can afford the extra care and all that, then I say go for it. We love having another little one running around! |

| We had Daizy for about a year....and then several months ago we got Tulip...and it was the BEST decision we ever made!!! They are sooooooooooo happy together....I can't believe we waited as long as we did to get our second!!! Yorkies are very social little creatures....and our Daizy seems much more happy since we brought Tulip into our home!!! There was the usual couple weeks of adjustment period....but now they adore each other!! Good luck!! Let us know what you decide!!! Hope you go for it!!!

Oh -- it was not instant love though. Each time we have gotten a new dog, Kate gave them a month of cold shoulder, then it was like she all of a sudden decided they were part of the family. She is sort of the matriarch. She puts up with the playful antics of the younger ones, but there is never any doubt that she is still in charge.

| As a follow-up, if you have one boy and one girl, do you think it matters what the third's sex is?
