| Bad haircut!!! I need some advice! HELP PLEASE! I need some advice! I took my 7 month old baby “Loli” to get a hair cut last weekend. This was her first “real” haircut. She had a puppy cut 2 months ago when the groomer basically got her used to the whole hair cutting idea. She groomed around her paws and face and clipped her toe nails. Her hair was about 3 and a half inches long. When I took her in I was very specific about what I wanted done. I only wanted about an inch and a half taken off. To make a long story short when I went to pick up my darling I was in SHOCK! SHE WAS COMPLETELY SHAVED! I was so upset. I took my baby and rushed out while my husband paid the bill. The next day, when I was calm, I called the manager and told her my story. I explained to her that I was disappointed and that I had family pictures in 8 days. She said “What do you want me to do about it!” Here is the deal…Not only is Loli’s hair short but it is terribly uneven. I looks like a blind-folded three year old cut her hair! I thought about evening it up but I can not bare the thought of any more hair leaving my baby girl’s body! I am still very upset. I don’t mind a 45 dollar hair cut but come on! This is ridiculous! Any ideas regarding what I should do? The manager’s attitude really bothered me. I have a hard time letting these kinds of things go. I feel like my complaint was not heard. It’s hard to explain this to people who are not parents of these precious little fur babies. They do not understand. I thought I would bounce this of you all here. Thanks for the advice!!! | I am so very sorry that you little Lola was "butchered" at the hands of an imcompetitent groomer. I would find a new groomer. As far as your family pics are concerned, you can't do too much about the uneven hair, unless you just even her up a bit. It might be time to go shopping for a pretty "Easter" dress for her |

| Sorry about the bad cut. I also would suggest a new groomer who will listen. And I also agree.........a cute little Easter dress and bow in her hair, and she'll look adorable for the pictures. |

| Did the owner even offer to refund your money? If not I would request a refund and then take her somewhere else to be evened out. I don't know about your Yorkie, but my Oscar's hair grows insanely fast. I agree with the previous person who said to buy her a dress for the family photos! |

| I don't know if contacting the groomer's is worth the aggravation. From her comment of "what do you want to me to do about it", it doesn't sound like she will be refunding you, etc. From past experience, once you get over the shock of seeing your baby shaved it will get a little better. In the meantime, while you're waiting fo her hair to grow back buy her some cute clothes! Maybe you can get her to match the rest of the family for the portrait session.

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Maybe I'm confused...but you say she was shaved completely but then say it's uneven??? If it's truly a chopped job shave...I'd be marching back down to the groomer and let the owner see the hatchet job. A puppy cut is an uneven type cut...it's supposed to look like a puppy coat, however, if you dog has a silk coat...the end result looks choppy.

| I'm sorry about the butcher job! I can't believe the manager offered you a free haircut after your terrible experience. As if you'd want to go back?? Ha! She should have given you a refund. A nice dress or cute shirt should cover the worst of her chop job, and hopefully her hair will grow back super fast. I'm sure she is still adorable though.. I love her pictures |
