| Facial Hair My little (3 lbs. maybe) baby girl, Abigail, is just turning 8 months old and while I had initially thought I'd want a puppy cut, her hair does not mat and she looks so pretty with her longer hair. The only trim which she has had is around her feet and pads. My concern is that she does not like to have bows in her hair so usually I only put one in when we are going out. At home, she takes them off but I think once the hair is longer, it will stay in place better. However, her hair is down in her face now and I don't really want to cut a "visor" because I want most of it to go up into her "topnot" when it is long enough. So I guess the only alternative is to let it fall into her eyes until it gets longer...right? All this longer hair on her face and chin, etc., gets in her water and food and needs to be washed often. Does anyone have any input on all this? This is my first Yorkie and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE her. She is so tiny, I think she needs longer hair so as not to look too thin and her coat is very pretty in color. So do I just need to be patient till it grows some more or what? By the way, here is a link that MIGHT work so you can see some of her pics: Kodakgallery.com Sign in to Kodakgallery.com |

| You could use petsilk topknot gel and slick it and part it so it so it goes to the sides while its growing

| In addition to the gel you could try some barrets. I found some small ones at places like Claire's Boutique in the mall and also the Dollar Tree stores.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I love Petsilk topknot gel, it really helped in growing out those short hairs. This link has some great tips, on getting you dog use to bands and bows. Casual Way to Put Dog Bows In Concerning facial hair, there are many choices, short, medium, or long. Look at pictures and find a look that you like, the longer hair of course needs more upkeep, and does get messier faster.
