| My lil fighter For those of you who may have kept up with my threads from the time I jointed this site, you will remember that right before becoming a member, my Gus was attacked by a German Shepherd and we almost lost him. I had taken a few pictures of him in case we had to take the owners of the other dog to court. They were very kind and paid for everything. So I was in no hurry to develope the pictures. I took in 5 rolls last week to be developed. And one of the rolls was "the roll" It made me cry all over again to see them. It's been 3 months and I look at him now and you would never would have guessed that he was on his last breaths. I wasn't going to share these pictures, but the more I thought about it,,,,, I wanted to show every one the little fighter that he is. He pulled though when the doctors said he wouldn't. His hair is finally growing back and he doens't look so lopsided,,,

| Here is another picture of him about a month after the accident, It was the first time I knew for sure he was going to be ok. After his bath he took off running and rolling on the carpet like he used to. I had to take the picture with his hair all messy,,,,, thats how happy I was!

| Lopsided or not he is a keeper... You can see literally the life come back into eyes, the third and fourth pictures shows this very well. It must have been a very trying time for the both of you. So glad to hear a happy story. Keep your hugs and kisses going Gus's way he deserves ever one.

| One of my good friends was walking her shih tsu and they were attacked by a pit bull. Because of it my friend, who was 13 at the time, landed in the hospital, and her little guy wasn't doing so well. The owner of the pit bull stood by and pretty much let it happen, and refused to take the blame. In the end all the bills got paid bc there is a law where my friend was living that states people may not own pit bulls. Happily, that was almost 10 years ago and Snowball is still alive and very healthy. I'm glad that Gus is a tough little guy, that you had no trouble with the owners of the German Shepard, and that you shared the story and pictures. It really brings home the reality that we are the caregivers of some really fragile babies. And Gus is a real survivor! |

| What a wonderful story and outcome. How horrible it must have been for you. But, he made it and he's a really beautiful little Yorkie! What stamina he has. You should be proud. Thank you

| You were very lucky with him on two counts one the owner of the shepard did the right thing and paid for everything and two that your little guy survived being mauled. Give Gus lots and lots of huggles from me. ( a huggle is a combination snuggle and hug for those who do not know) |
