| Devastating loss for Midwest rescue world This came through on a message board I belong to, and I checked the story out online (see link). The original poster asked for this to be cross posted, so I thought I'd pass it on and help get the word out. I feel so awful for these people and the animals. Rescue work can be so gut-wrenching anyway, and then to have something like this happen is just so sad. Here's the message and the link to the news story: Fire destroys Mississippi sanctuary for rescued animals : Local News : Memphis Commercial Appeal URGENT PLEA! To all Critter Lovers, This wonderful couple runs a sizable rescue from their home. Their love and dedication to homeless and needy critters is without fail. This loss is devastating. Now they AND the few surviving critters need urgent help. Please consider helping them so they can soon resume helping so many others. One of our largest rescue groups in the Mid South burned to the ground last night. Many of you know Linda Money. Go to WREG.com for the fire story in Marshall County. The family lost everything and 40-50 just a guess animals or so died including her own. You can view the animals on her website at petfinder.com. This is the worst DEVASTATION rescue groups have had in decades. Please send money only.. there is no one accepting stuff yet. Any Regions Bank... Mid South Animal Rescue League and put on check for FIRE. Her main account is in Olive Branch. If you want to send checks to me I will get them there instaead. This will take along time for recovery. Linda & Kevin are two of the most dedicated animal rescue people I know.. Please help them with any donation of money you might have. PLEASE CROSS POST TO ALL ANIMAL LOVERS Minetry Apperson-Crowley Apperson Realtors DogGoneGoodRealtor@comcast.net 901-767-3599 901-409-2420 Please adopt a homeless animal from your local Animal shelter or Humane Society Linda's house burned to the ground late this afternoon. I just got back. I went with Cindy Wolff and took my cages. She lost many of her animals inside. Outside animals are ok. Kevin is at the Med in the burn unit. He kept going inside to save the animals. Firemen had to pull him away. He is in critical condition. Most of her personal animals are gone.....Sad day.
