| These dogs really remind me of Bichons, or a maltese. I used to have a client with 2 of these dogs and they were really cute! They don't shed, but yorkies dont either! tee hee! They seem to be good with kids as well.

| coton I have a two year old coton female. She is the sweetest dog. She plays all day long with the yorkie puppy. Her hair is gorgeous, her personality is great. I got her from a breeder in Missouri. |

| The first time I ever heard of this breed was last fall when I enrolled my Piper in a puppy class. There was only one other small breed puppy and that was the Coton. OMG! he was the cutest little thing and very friendly and loveable. He was the only puppy that Piper wanted anything to do with. The other puppies were large breeds and already 10x bigger than her. I always will have a Yorkie in my life but if I were to get another breed I would definately consider a Coton.

| Yes,, I think these two breeds(yorkie& coton) are a sweet pair to have. The breeder has a male tri-color and a female white..I am wondering though, about the tear staining..is this a big problem? I know it is with most white colored breeds. |

| I really looked into Cotons before I got a yorkie. I even belonged to a coton list for a long time. They are so cute and such happy little dogs. From what I remember the down side is they do matt terribly and being white dogs they are prone to staining. So grooming is labor intensive unless you keep them in a short cut.

| yeah, but when they are in full coat, they are simply devine looking just like the yorkies. I have never seen one in person, I haved worked in the veterinary field for a long time (past) but never had the pleasure. I hear you have to be careful when finding them because alot of bichon, maltese, mixes are being sold as cotons, with the high price tag. Just like yorkies it takes a sharp eye to distinguish what good breeding should resemble. AND THEY DANCE..... |
