I'm sure many of you do not know the story of Ella that has been going on in the rescue forum. Right before Christmas she was found wondering and abandoned on the streets of Los Angeles. She was a breeder dog that was disguarded when she was too old to continue to do her "job" and was tossed onto the streets. She was picked up with a ruptured eye from god only knows what and taken to an animal shelter in LA. Her eye was removed and she was posted onto Petfinder.com Her story of how she came to YT heartbreaking to say the least! It has been about 6 weeks since lcornel has been her foster mom in rescue and she has become quite the little celebrity to all of us.

The reason that I am posting this is because Ella has been ADOPTED and will be going to her new home today! I was hoping that everyone would stop by Ella's thread to let lcornel know what a wonderful thing she has done and lend your support at this very bittersweet day ----when Ella got her wings.

This brought tears to my eyes! I have kept up with little Ella and I am so happy that she is getting a wonderful home. I know how bittersweet this has to be for lcornell after caring and loving her for many weeks. This was the hardest thing for me to learn to handle when I first got involved with rescue. Thanks for posting this and letting us know.

What a story. Ella is one lucky little lady to have not one but
two guardian angels caring for her.
Nothing but good wishes and years of love for Ella.
Lot's of love to catch up on and I am sure Icornell and
her new Momma are making sure she is getting it.

I am so happy that Ella is finally getting a chance at the life that she has deserved all along! What a lucky little girl to get to go to work with her new mommy everyday. It truly brings tears to my eyes.

llcornell, Ella owes her life to you! I know it must be bittersweet for you to see her go. You must always remember that you opened your heart to her and were the first person to give her a taste of the good life. Ella will ALWAYS remember and love you for that alone. You are truly an angel on earth for this and all the rescue work you have done and will continue to do.

I'm so glad this is an open adoption, so you will get to see her from time to time. I certainly hope her new mommy sticks with YT so we can continue to watch her shine.

Thank you both. This really is a very touching story and I am hoping since it is the weekend more people will stop and read then story.

There is a special place in Heaven for people like this. What joy she must feel to know she helped that baby have a good life. Bless you!!

I am so glad to read that Ella's forever family finally found her!

I hope she will be a happy and pampered pupster for the rest of her days...living the life that she deserves. Bless the foster mom's heart, as well as her new family. Thank you for the update!
