| Does Anyone Not Feed Their Dog Actual Dog Food I have come to the conclusion that Coco just DOES NOT like dog food. I have tried almost every dog food on the market and she refuses to eat it. I am sick of throwing out food in her bowl half eaten and she is also thin. She can go a full day without eating! The only thing I have gotten her to eat and like eating are those satin balls I made. I'm to the point where I feel I am going to have to make food for her. So my question is: Is there anyone on here that cooks for the dogs? If so what types of foods do you make? I need to make sure what I give her has all the nutrients and vitamins as would be in her dog food. Please help me out. I don't know what to do anymore. |

| I thought I was going to cook for Peppy. I was very careful, only used the highest human grade ingredients, did tons of research, stayed away from known toxic foods and allergens, and gave a high quality vitamin supplement to "fill in the blanks". What I would up with was diarreah. My wonderful patient vet prescribed Science Diet a/d for a temporary solution. It provided a very dense nutrient rich food that is very digestable. The only problem with the food is it is very high in protein and cannot be fed long term. The diarreah cleared up almost immediately and on his own, Peppy started eating the food I feed the other furkids -- Innova EVO. We are all happy campers now. GOOD LUCK. Please let me know how it goes, 'cause I would really like to prepare home cooked meals. |

| The Science Diet I fed is a canned food used only for short term. In my area you can ONLY get it with a "prescription" from the vet. With what research I have done (considerable) I have come to the conclusion that Innova EVO is the right food for me to feed my furkids. They love the food and do not complain at all. There are several very good high quality dog foods around, but it takes some research to uncover the mysteries of dog food labels. GOOD LUCK!!! |

My dogs only get dog food. Every now & then they may get a treat of chicken. Sometimes if I fry hamburgers I put a little of the grease over the food. With Mollie I have to switch foods every couple of months. I guess she just gets tired of the same old thing day in & day out. | |

| Try Natural Balance beef and turkey rolls. Petco supplies it and they all love it. |

| Tonight I think I may have had a breakthrough. I gave coco her food and put some dreamcoat in it. She ate it up. SOOOO I am going to see how this works for awhile. I guess the dreamcoat added something she liked to it. I'm not going to get my hopes up just yet. In the meantime if anyone wants a brand new bottle of Grizzly Salmon oil just PM me. I got some for her and she refuses to eat anything with that in it. And plus I don't like the smell of it either. If you want it just PM me and I'll mail it to you for $5 plus shipping which should be no more than $3 |

| Ceaser's. I tried just about everything else. It's the only food my kids seem to like. Good thing about Cesar's is the variety. They even have a Porterhouse steak and Filet Mignon!! My kids like the turkey and beef. I too use the loaf. Nature's Balance has one and PetCo has their own brand (can't think of the name right now). Just chunk it up into little bitty pieces and they devour it. Course, when all else fails, there's always chicken. Mine go gaga over lemon-pepper chicken. Good luck, Suz |

| My friend gave me this freeze dried dehydrated dog food to try http://www.onlynaturalpet.com/Nature...s_p/131056.htm They are just little medallions, but the boys go absolutely crazy about them. I don't think that I would feed them this exclusively but as a boost to their other food I think that it would be great! It's a little pricey but if there not eating really good or what they should be, this might be an answer..
