| signs of heat cycle?? Hi all was wondering what are the signs of a female starting to go into heat?? I know that they sleep a bit more and are swollen. Do they also eat more during this time??? Oh by the way she looks a little swollen but no sign of blood. Jack is after her though always sniffing her. Mandy is 7 months and Jack is almost 4 months. If you can give other signs if there are any let me know please. Thanks Verena |

| I came across this very informative site long ago and saved it to my favorites. when i thought Ahia might be pregnant. this section tells you how to know when they are about to start the heat cycle. my links usually don't work so you might have to copy and paste the link. sorry, don't know what i do wrong. http://www.debbiejensen.com/heat_cycle.htm hey, what do you think of that? i think i actually did it right this time.

| Pita had all of those signs and the bleeding never really was obvious because she kept herself sooo clean! Afterwards her nipples swelled for about 3 weeks and now she's just about back to normal. I should get her fixed but... |

| Ahia couldn't possibly eat more. LOL, but she did sleep a lot more. well lets just say she grew up over night. she calmed down a whole lot. she wasn't as hyper after her heat cycle started.(or since). she is in heat again now. her first heat was really heavy and lasted so long. this one is not as heavy. I still keep panties on her to keep Buckeye off of her. what a chore that is!

| Heat My Yorkie, Savannah, is going into her second heat I think. She has been sleeping a lot the past couple of days and she is swollen, but no bleeding yet. Her first cycle she bled fairly heavily and forever, like about a month I think and her nipples were swollen. I thought she would never go back to normal, but she eventually did. I am looking for a small, under 4 lb. male to breed her with. I live in the Huntsville, AL area. Does anyone know of a small male Yorkie I could breed Savannah with in this area? Lorna |
