| My yorkie story/Haircoat advice needed.... My boss raises yorkies(she's a vet), and a puppy was born and diagnosed with megaesophagus at 4-5 weeks old. I took care of her when my boss went out of town--she took over and was keeping her at her place until she got older and started barking alot(then she told me I could take her home if I wanted, but she wasn't giving her to me). She was a sweet puppy and I did bond with her, so I didn't have the heart to leave her at the clininc all the time. Well, the puppy(Leah), was a lucky pup and is actually growing out of the condition--she stopped throwing up, doesn't need to sit up after eating, eats whatever she wants, etc. Well, my boss then decided that she was going to sell her(to me $700, other person $1100)--I had bought a pup from her last year--but no way could I afford to buy another and told her that. Anyways, my boss surprised me and gave Leah to me for Christmas. My question is, do you recommend anything to help her thin, coarse hair-coat?? My boss said it will take time for it to grow bc of her rough start. She was born on July 7th and she weighs in at 2.6lbs--I am curious to see what her adult weight will be(my other yorkie is 3-3.2lbs-but she is from totally different bloodlines). Thanks in advance for any help!!! |
