| It's Official!!! We are getting our Yorkie January 20th! Hey everyone! I'm still very new, but I wanted to let you all know that my fiance and I have been to a few homes with Yorkies to make sure that his allergies don't act up and... they didn't! Well, the first home they did, but she also had another breed of dog in the house (not hypoallergenic, of course)! So, we tried again with a home with only Yorkies, and he was fine! We rubbed them in his face and everything to be sure! I am a dog lover, so I would have been crushed if we couldn't get one! We are very excited to get our first Yorkie on January 20th! Is there anything any of you can tell me about owning a Yorkie, something I should know, some tips, anything! Thanks so much! |

| How exciting! I knew that I couldn't WAIT, those couple of weeks were the longest weeks of my life. I would suggest you browse through all of the different sections of this forum. Read the stickys, especially, but then if you have any specific questions, just do a search. I have learned SO much from this website. I also borrowed every book about Yorkies from the library and read those. Good luck and just ask questions if you have anything!

| Congratulations! What an exciting time. The wait will be torture but you will be well rewarded on the 20th!
