| Pet Insurance??? I have been reading a lot of threads about how much people spend on their Vet bills and I was wondering, does anyone have pet insurance? I found a reputable company that many of my friends use and I have to pay around $300 for the whole year and the insurance covers my Vet bills by 80%, so all I have to come out of pocket is 20%. I could pay for a higher package and have them cover 90% or 100%, but I thought of just getting the 80% coverage quote. So, do most of you with all your bills have insurance and that is what your still paying, or do most of not have insurance and just pay everything out of pocket? |

| I have insurance on Gus (1 year old), and never had insurance on Squirt (12 years old).

| When I got Squirt I didn't think that vet expenses would be high enough to justify insurance. I was right. Now he's too old to insure. I had a feeling that Gus was going to have health problems, and also the plan covered neutering. So, I insured him. At the rate were going we may almost break even.
