So, bring her crate and if she seems scared place her in the crate during the trip. Once she is in the car more, she may feel better and more comfortable riding in your lap or a doggie car seat. Whichever you prefer.

| When we brought Lucy home at 8 weeks, we had a three hour car journey (with several pee breaks, just in case). She lay in my lap while my husband drove, and although she whimpered a little for about the first 20 miles, she then settled quite happily and slept, only waking to poop all over me - yuk! - without warning. Lucy has spent loads of time in the car with us since. She has a little car harness and a blankie on the passenger seat, and will just curl up and sleep happily - or sit up on my husband's lap and watch the world go by. We had bought some Bach's Rescue Remedy in case she needed to chill a bit - but it's never been necessary. Lucy loves being in the car! |

YT 3000 Club Member | Chester goes all the time with me, he has a towel down on the seat with another more padded one on top of it. I have his water, treats and food with me and I take him out every 2-3 hours, chester is 6 years old now. I take baby wipes or something to wipe him off and towels if he gets wet..He also has a blanket he likes that I take. Good Luck it will be fine. As long as they are with their humans that is all that matters to them. |

| My Daizy is in our car ALL the time and she's still kinda a maniac...so I'm looking into getting her a "car seat"...lol which my hubby thinks is ridiculous... but he hasn't ever tried to drive with her diving into his lap trying to look out his driver side window...or putting her two front paws on the steering wheel trying to take over driving!! lol and obstructing my view.. However Tulip is just precious in the car...she prefers to sleep on a pillow from her bed on my lap while we go places....and she sleeps almost the whole time! ...I did purchase a harness that you can strap the car seat belt in...however Daizy has no problem worming her way out of it..every time I put her in it... Your baby will probably do just fine...do stop so she can potty at least once on your trip!

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | When I first started taking my baby on car rides when he was little he got real sick. Over time he got used to it and now he loves the car. He loves it when the wind blows in his face. If he can't put his little nose in the crack on the window he will cry..lol.. Start em out on small trips and then you then you should be good to go for longer trips. |
