Expecting Yorkie Mama?

I am excited and wanted to post that my Yorkshire Terrier, Rosie, may be expecting a litter....her first and only one!! She wasn't all that thrilled about being tied...she cried and cried. I had to hold her still...she kept trying to pull away. Poor baby. I have never heard her cry like that. I have a feeling she will not be quiet(like her sister was) when having the pups! We will see.

Oh! Congratulations to your Rosey and her first litter...in July. How many pups were in her litter? Did you assist with the whelping? Have you sold all of the pups already?

Thank you, no I did not have to help her at all, I was there for her if she needed me, but she did it all on her own. She had 2 boys and they are with there forever parents, we do miss them but are thankful that they went to such loving homes!!!

I am so glad to hear that she had two healthy boys! My Lily had two litters and I needed to help her with both of them. They were so tiny 2-4 oz and she was a little rough trying to bite off the umbilical cord, wanting to pull too hard causing bleeding. Once I cut the umbilical cords though, she was great! I just had Lily spayed last month. Her sister, Rosie, will have just this one litter and then we will have her spayed as well.
