| Help! My poor baby! About 2 hrs ago i was put in very stressful situation. There was a lot of yelling and some violence. Im ok but my poor baby witnessed it all. It wasnt at our house, it was with a man that she knows but is not close with. I am normally a very calm person. My baby has never seen anything like tonight ever before. She is skaking, pacing, hiding in her kennel. She isnt afraid of me but kinda is giving me werid looks and wont snuggle with me. Which is extremely strange because she is a HUGE snuggle bug. I thought that she would calm down after an hour but she hasnt and im worried. I dont know how to make her feel more comfortable. Should i give her a treat or maybe even put her in the bath with me? She likes to take baths and swim and splash in the water. What should i do?!?!

| Sorry for the episode... I would think maybe lower the lights and lower the sound of tv or music whatever you feel may be calming for you and her. She may want to be in the bathroom with you or not. Show her you are relaxing and i'm sure she'll calm down in a relaxed atmosphere. (JMO) Good luck to ya! |

| I hope that you are okay. I would give her a little space. Go sit on the couch? And let her come to you. It helps with my Pit Bull if there was yelling

| I agree...Try to make as calm and soothing of an environment for her as possible. Don't act stressed because she will pick up on it. I'm sorry to hear about that episode, and I'm glad everything's okay.

| I had a similiar situation, just with a lot of yelling, no violence though and it really scared Sasha because she had never encountered that. She would go sit in the corner in the dark and shake. We just had her come sit with us, coax her and tried to show her that everything was ok. To be honest, it did take her acouple days before she returned to her old self. Give her some time, I'm sure she'll come around. |

| Ok so i have an update. We took a nap and when Gypsy woke up she went to give me a kiss and burped in my face so things are a little bit back to normal lol. But now i have a new problem. My Boyfriend came over[hes not the one i had fight with] and now Gypsy doesnt want him to touch me. Im afraid that she might always behave this way. I hate myself for letting her see this. Im afraid im gonna damage her. Gypsy is my therapy dog. Im 17 yrs old and grew up in a bad home till i was 13. I went to a lot a therapy and didnt make progress until i got Gypsy. She brought a whole new light into my world. Without her i would be lost. She makes all the bad things go away from me. I would hate myself so much if i hurt her emotionally in anyway. Im so stressed and hurt that im starting to cry. Im sorry im blabbing but im so lost on what to do Gypsy is my first furbaby. If anyone has advice or has been in the same situation and can talk me through it i would greatly appreciate it. Thank you so much for hearing me out.

| Maybe you & the pup should just lay low for awhile longer. No excitement or interference. This may help both of you be reassured that this is something that you don't want to happen again. Give the baby some more hugs!! Good luck.
