Yorkie Lover Donating Member | I have 4 - 2 yorkies (both 4) and 2 silkies (1 is 4, 1 is 2). I got my first yorkie from my aunt as a gift and 3 months later got her a friend. I stayed with just my 2 spoiled yorkies for 2 years and then got my first silky (to show) and eventually look in another silky (again to show and now I co-own). Once you get organized in a schedule for feeding, bathing and such....it is great. Yes, lots of work...but worth it. And with them all out of the "puppy" stage, life is settling down.

| To All of YOU!! You know when I started this thread, I was curious as to how involved more than one dog would be because I am about to get my 2nd Yorkie the week of Thanksgiving... But I must say as I have read the various posts, that the real issue is how loving and caring you all are to open your hearts and homes to so many of God's helpless, living (and loving!!) creatures. I truly admire you guys!! .. 3 thumbs up to you all!! I am encouraged and inspired by you all. At this point because of where I currently live I will be limited to 2 Yorkies, but who knows... down the road there might be another Yorkie (or two!!) in my future!!! The saying is obviously true.. Dogs are "like Lays potato chips, you can't have just one!! |

Senior Yorkie Talker | I have 8 dogs ,I have a 12 year old maltese poodle called Gypsey (she was bought on the way home the day after we got married ,so we call her our wedding dog),she had puppies and we kept one called Happy who stole my heart and I just couldn't give her away. Our other dog Bubbles (arrived before Happy because Gypsey needed a friend). Then we got Jessie our first Yorkie. We then got Shelby who sadly died when we had a freak car accident ,I was devastated and had a huge hole in my heart to fill ,So Jamie came along and proceeded to get Jessie pregnant and obviously none are leaving except Sebastian whos is going to live with my dad. Having so many dog's is a challenge ,but I am a housewife and therefore here all the time,Jamie goes everywhere with me and Happy,Bubbles and Jessie stay in the garden when I am out.Gypsey stays in the house as she can hold it in and not make a mess.I haven't faced all the new challenges of the three new puppies yet!! This is not even to mention the two birds,5 rats, fish, reptiles and cat tha I have |

Donating YT 11K Club Member | Everyone wrote how they ended up with so many and i loved reading all the stories so here is mine I have 3 btw When i finished High school and was with my bf for a year i believe, i wanted a Yorkie to take care of, to dress up, to take with me everywhere. I've always wanted a Yorkie, ever since i was little, it was between a Cavalier King Charles and a Yorkie. I always thought those 2 were the most beautiful and girly dogs ever, with gorgeous hair that i love lol Well we ended up getting a Cavalier and it was the family dog. I think it was in 2004 Charlie, our Cavalier died. He was a great family dog but i never felt like he was my own cause i didnt care for him by myself, so that's why i decided on finally getting a Yorkie for me to care for and i did. I originally wanted a girl and was looking online for one and saw an adorable pic of one. Well when i called the lady said that she was just sold but she had one left, her brother. She showed me his picture and i gave in and thats how i got Teddy So i got my boy but i still wanted a little girl, so that is how i added London in the mix, 3 months after. I loved having the 2 of them and always knew i would get more than 1 cause i like the fact that they would have each other to play with. Well i wanted another girl and was here on YT and this woman had to sell her 2 girls cause she was moving and that is how i ended up with Sophie, my 3rd. Now i have my 2 girls and boy but i know they wont be my last, i def. see myself having more in the future, maybe next will be another boy for Teddy but it will have to be after i move out Anyway its so much fun having 3, they are always playing, and they are all close in age. They are so entertaining and they love me soo much as i love them!
