| Too cold out to walk? So we live in NJ/NYC area and was wondering how cold is too cold to walk Duke? It was in the 50s today and I felt that it was a bit cold to walk him, I put a sweater on him but when is it too cold? Thanks,

| I put sweaters on my daizy. I just decide if it's too cold for me....then I don't take her out. She loves her walks...and we walk alot even in the 40's and 50's. NOt sure if this helps you or not. But of course here in Montana we don't have high humidity...so depending on where you live it might be colder at those temperatures for you.

| Never Too Cold? We are down in Myrtle Beach, SC. No Snow here but it's dropped down to a chilly 40 degrees @ Night. I did live in Boston at one time and I always make a point of walking my 3 regardless of how Cold it gets outside, I just make sure they are dressed very warm in full body velour Sweat Suits or Ski Jackets depending on how cold it is? Yorkie's get Fat easily all it takes is a couple of missed Walks and they blow up like little piglets ready to explode. I don't think it's ever too Cold? I would also make them wear Boots if they needed them?

| Pucci has to go out no matter what the weather is like. So even when it is 10 below we go out...I just really bundle him up. I have thermal underwear for both of mine and full length fleece jump suits and then I put a fleece lined jacket over that....but it has to be really cold and nasty for the jacket layer. This year I am going to start him on wearing shoes. Last 2 years I was putting socks and ballons on them. But as far as how cold is too cold....well just bundle him up and he will be fine. And of course I start to shorten his walk when it is below 40degrees. So we are just out about 5min. Tina

| I think if you think it's too cold for yourself to be out, it's probably too cold for the walk. It's been in the 50's here the last few days and mine have been just fine on their walks. I put coats on them and we are out about 20 minutes.

| Hi I live in Maine near the water so it gets very cold here. I take the boys out daily. Zeke who is a Llhasa Apso isn't bothered at all. But Baxter my yorkie is a different story. He is a little toughie though. We bundle him up and if it is very cold 10 or below, I put his sweater and his jacket on him. He lets me know when he has had enough.

| I just bundle them up and they love going out for walks. So far it's been okay. We not only have the cold but we get tend to get winds. Hot Rod is not a fan of windy conditions but Maggie is okay.

| We are also in queens NY, and anything below 30 - 32 degrees its most likely too cold for Tiger especialy when there is snow, he will start shivering even though he has his sweater. |

| i don't know what 50's is because i'm in canada but mickey absolutely hates the cold... if it goes to zero degrees cel he won't go out even with his jacket and boots on snow or spring rain, forget it he'll just sit and refuse to move! though, there is a yorkie that likes to go out in the reallllllly cold (there was a post the other week), so i guess it depending on the yorkie try bundling yours up and see |
