| How many of them wear Belly Bands? OUt of curiosity, Im wondering how many of us Yorkie Owners have Belly Bands on our little guy's full-time? I swore that I would never have to go that route but since rescuing Chance (whom never had ANY potty training and could go anywhere he very well wanted) I have had no choice but to use the belly bands. He doesn't mind them (thankfully) and I guess he will wear them forever!!

| I have belly bands on my boys when I take them somewhere. At home and at BFs house we try to really make sure we let them out all the time and avoid accident, but at other people's houses they will mark... so I put belly bands on them.

| Huh, I never thought to put belly bands on my babies... Does it work for both boys and girls? I have them paper trained in my house, but sometimes at other people's houses they get confused, so it'd be great if I could just put a band on them to prevent accidents? (Though I know I really just need to do a better job training them...)

| I trust TJ 99% ~ he doesn't mark inside, he uses the pee pads. He has been to my Mom's house and he never lifted his leg inside (outside is a different story). ....now Roxy is 0% trustable. She would mark in someone home (carpet) for sure. Both inside and outside. She can only be trusted in someone's house if they didn't have carpet and I put tons of pee pads around for her. And YES she has to 'mark' every new pad I had a foster who needed to wear a BB for most of the time he had freedom in my home. I took it off when we would rest and watch TV and go to bed. I made 'make shift' belly bands myself using a fleece blanket, I found this to be the most comfortable for him, as cotton would rub on his back legs and it looked like it would hurt |

Thats what we do, take Chance's BB off when we sleep or are sitting around watching TV - My hubby always teases me and say's "It's nice to see your letting his manhood breath " (what little he has left)

| I've just recently had to resort to Belly Bands, since we've moved into our new house Finnigan has gone crazy with "marking his territory." We take them off during the evenings when he just wants to be a lap dog, but have to leave it on all day while he's running about. When I get the belly band out he just stands and waits to have it put on like I'm putting a sweater on him. Its so funny!

| So I guess I have a question. I'm getting my male very soon and if you are leaving these on all day. What you take it off right before you take him outside and then put it right back on him again when you come inside?

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | I don't have to use them with Bengi. Although he sometimes poops under the dinning table, he doesn't pee inside the house at all. |

| We are having great trouble getting our new rescued Yorkie to quit marking in the house. Sometimes I think he just pees in the belly band on purpose. We are now leaving him out of it, but contained to specific parts of the house or on leash attached to us. I make my own belly bands out of white felt, velcro and panty liners. I tell him it's time to put on his "belly warmer". He tolerates it fairly well, but I had to add more velcro to it because he was taking it off. |

| Yeah, we take it off as we're heading outside for a walk/letting him out and put it back on once he comes to the door. He's just so used to it now he just stands and waits for it to be put back on just inside the door. We've only been using them for a month or so, but he tolerates them very well.
