| Hello Hello Yorkie Lovers, I just registered to this great site and I'm looking forward to chatting with you. I became a Yorkie mom 3 years ago at a mid 40 age group and thought I could not be happier until my little girl became a mommy this past Monday. She had a litter of 3 and only 2 survived. Not sure what happened because my husband and I were both at work and we weren't expecting the arrival for another 5-7 days. If anyone has any tips they'd like to share through their own experience, I would truly enjoy receiving them. My Yorkie cleans her pups so much that they can't feed properly because they roll off of her. Any suggestions?? Thank you. |

| Hi Nancy and welcome. I'm so sorry about losing a puppy. I'm not a breeder and never will be. Maybe you could get her spayed now and not take any chances.

| Hello and welcome! You might get better responses to your question if you put it in the breeders section. There are people who frequent that section that have whelping experience. Best of luck

YT Graphic Artist Donating Member | Hi Nancy! Welcome to YT! You should probably post this in the breeders section - you may get more replies. It is going to be hard to determine what happened though, since they were left alone. Have you taken the other pups to a vet to be checked out yet? How is Mommy doing? We'd love to see pictures of your new babies.

| Thanks for your replies Thanks so much for your quick replies and suggestions. I will certainly pose my questions on the breeder section. Since I'm also new to web forums, etc., I'm looking to learn all new things. I'll post pictures soon. Thanks again. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Hi Nancy, I'm a Nancy too, and am so sorry to hear you lost a puppy, this sometimes happens, and I'm told breeders have to develop thick skins. I agree with the others, most of us in don't know much about "birthing puppies" and the breeders section is much better to post specific questions on breeding. Just want to welcome you to Yorkietalk! Here's a link to the breeder's forum: Breeder Talk - YorkieTalk.com Forums - Yorkshire Terrier Community
