| Why does my 7 month old girl still look scruffy? She has been looking this way for a couple of months now. I brush her several times a day and even comb her at least once a day because she gets tiny little mats close to her skin if I don't comb her everyday. She is 7 months old and still has a lot of black on her but I see her saddle starting to turn silverish/gray maybe? My Tobey is 18 months old and he has never matted or looked scruffy. Jade I think has a cottony coat. I use Pantene on her and even use my very expensive hair straightening/defrizzing lotion before blow drying and she still looks frizzy. What is up with that?

| Oh yeah I forgot to mention that when I do brush/comb her she has alot of hair that comes out. But ONLY when brushed. There is no shedding whatsoever. When I first strat the combing/brushing there is more of it but as I'm nearing the end of brushing it stops coming out. Again, what is up with that?

| I'm pretty sure it is a cootn coat because she is so soft whereas Tobey's coat doesn't feel as soft and he never mats.

| Try Nutureline's Show Dog supplement... it works great for improving coat quality and smoothes hair. Hope that helps

| Hehe.. My Mocha totally looks scruffy, aside from the 1st 5-10 minutes after I brush her. After that.. goodness me. I am thinking it will get better soon, as this is still "puppy" coat. My shihtzu Lulu had her puppy coat until she's about 1, so I'm not worried. Mocha is also losing a little bit of hair nowadays, but I didn't find rashes or bald spot so I'm thinking it's normal

| Sasha is 7 months also and is the same way. I'd venture to say 5 minutes after I comb/brush her she begins to look scruffy because she hates to be combed/brushed and as soon as I'm done she'll jump down and start to wiggle around on the floor and try to mess up my hard work. She's a wild child...lol |
