| Bella's surgery estimate came, better than I thought. So as you know I adopted a Yorkie from our pound on Saturday. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/my-...kie-today.html Knowing she had a hernia, what I didn't know was she was not spayed and has some bad teeth. So I took her to the vet and he thought the hernia might be more involved making me think the bills would be outrageous.. SO he did an estimate and I was on pins and needles waiting well I got it.. His estimate on the surgeries.. it will be done in 2- first spay/fix hernia and the second is the full dental and remove the bad tooth, depending on how many need removed.. Best case scenerio is $482 worst case around $620. So that's not as bad as I thought.. the way he talked the other day I was thinking $1,000+ and I was a little freaked out. Not that I wanna spend that kind of money, that I don't have. But this stuff has to be done for my lil' girl. So I'm gonna get her scheduled in pretty soon. I do think her being in heat is over he wanted to make sure of that.. before scheduling her. Thanks guys for all the well wishes. Bella thanks you too. She goes to the groomer today at 10:00 so I'll post some pics tonight of her new DO- I'm sure she's gonna look like a totally new dog.

| Bless you for taking in this little girl and taking on this challenge with such a great attitude. I can't wait to see pictures of her after her hair cut! I wonder if she'll strut around like Annie would all smug and pleased with her new look? Or if she'll want to hide like Boo, who's convinced we want to embarrass him by making him go outside 'naked'!

| That was a very good price your vet gave you. If that were NY you can bet your life it would have been triple to say the least. Congratulations once again on adopting your little girl. What a lucky pup she is. Can't wait to see pictures of her after being groomed. I bet she will feel wonderful when she's finished and look beautiful as well. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Glad to hear it was less than you thought. Do they not want to do both at the same time due to her being under too long? It would be nice to get them both done together.

Ya, that's what he said. He said if it all goes well and the hernia is an easier repair he will do all three. I went and scheduled for tomorrow 8am. So she'll come home Thursday night or Friday morning depending how groggy she is and I'll have all weekend with her. She did great at the groomer, she said she was an angel and just sat there very well behaved. Not much phases this lil girl.. Saturday at my house noone would have guessed she just came from the pound, she wasn't nervous or scared at all and settled right in.

| I'm so happy to hear she's doing so well. When you get a dog from a shelter...you never know their history...and won't know what their hangups are (if they have any) until you've brought them home.....and can then work with them to alleviate their fears and anxieties....however it's always nice to hear that a rescue has settled in and is doing well right from the start. Can't wait to see her pics!!!! Post soon!

| Yay I'm glad that the estimate wasn't to scary but I know it is still a lot since this time last week, you had no idea you would have another dog now! But I'm so glad that you rescued our little Bella Boo from the pound! Are you going to have to pay when you pick her up or will they bill you? I hope they will bill you. I will put a check in the mail to you today! Since I might have encouraged you to get her I want to help!
