| What am I going to do???? I'm so pissed. Coco is having her surgery this friday to get spayed. My manager at work told me I can probably work from home or I can bring her to work, in a carrier or stroller. She said she will have to check with the VP but will get back to me. So today she tells me that neither option will work, because the work I do can't be done from home like we thought and because of some other issues, she can't come here either!!!!! What am I going to do??? I can't leave her alone after her surgery. I have the weekend with her but I don't know what I am going to do during the week All my friends work, my family lives far, and I don't feel comfortable having some stranger come into my home to look after her. HELP! Any suggestions?? I will not drop her off at a kennel, or the vets. Her breeder is in Oklahoma.

| What time is her surgery and what time are they allowing you to pick her up?? In Maximus' case I had to drop him off at 8:30 am but we couldn't pick him up till after 4~~ which we kind of picked him up earlier...but since she is at the vet can't she stay till 6 or so when you get home??

| Your manager stinks! What was to happen if you were terribly sick?? I really can't stand it when managers don't let employess take days off! I personally would have just taken a personal day. Do you have vacation or sick time??? If I was in your position, I would just take the day off... Good Luck!

| Yeah, what time is the surgery suppose to take place? When Bella got spayed, I dropped her off before work and she actually had to spend the night for observation. I did go visit her after work though. Even though we all want to be with her lil pups as soon as the surgery is over, I think it might be best to have the vet watch her for a few hours after the surgery, just to be sure she's going to be ok. And if that works out, you will be able to pick her up as soon as you are off from work.

| The day of the surgery is not a problem. I drop her off at 9am and pick her up at 4pm that same day. It's a friday so I have the weekend with her. That's not the problem. The problem is that following week M-F. I don't want to leave her alone at home, incase she chews her stitches or something. My manager felt bad and she said if all else fails, and that this should be my last option because they need me, is to take 3 day vacation time.

| You know what? I was with Esme for most of her recovery time because I waited until my summer vacation, BUT if I would have needed to leave her alone after three days, she would have been fine! The doctor wrapped her up so she couldn't bother the stiches. Also, you could always put a shirt on her when you leave her alone. Honestly, the first day is the worst, but by day 2, they are pretty much back to normal! Esme was trying to run around and be herself. I was MUCH more worried about it then she was. I think she will be fine staying home alone on Monday... Maybe you could just come home 1/2 through the day to check on her.

| Oh... ok, gotcha. I thought you were concern about the day of the surgery. Well, I know you love CoCo, Noebella and you are probably a worry bee like me. But really, I think she's going to be ok, if you live close to home, try to come home for lunch to check up on her and stuff but I think she'll be ok. When Bella came home on Saturday, she was a little weak and sleepy, but by the end of the day Sunday, she was her usual self again. Just make sure to keep the e-collar on her. Bella came home with antibiotics and pain killers and the e-collar. I know its easier said then done to not worry cause you love her. But just know that you have choices and either way, I think CoCo will be sleeping most of the day when you are work anyway. How about coming in earlier and leaving work earlier just for that week? Is that an option?

| IMO... I think the 2 days you have off, will be enough time to tell you how well she will do on MOn. Most animals I have had are fine within 1-2 days,,like nothing happened, I would see how she does,,and If shes chewing at stiches or something,, call in for FAMILY emergency,, not like you didn't try to work it out with your job..

| Hi Nobella, if they are keeping her overnight Friday, you will be able to be there for her Saturday. I know you probably feel like you would be abandoning her by being at work on Friday, but that truly isn't the case. You probably wouldn't get to see her for most of the day. If, however, you insist on being there, reschedule Coco's surgery. See when the vets next available date is and then schedule that day and/or the next off work. |

| You think so?? Maybe I can just take monday off. I have the weekend with her and can judge her progress from the weekend. Maybe I can take monday off. Or I can come home early all of next week. I'm not really that close to home. I'm like a 30 minute train ride from home. I think that would be good, to either come home half day a couple of the days of next week or just take one more day off.
