| Where to get a Yorkie I have been looking at getting a yorkie for the past 2 years now, and am really hesitant on where to get it. We are looking for a female, and we have found a place in Evansport, Ohio (which is about 2 hours from where we live) but I'm not sure how to know if it is good place. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to go or where to look??? |

| There is good reason to be hesitant... there are so many people out to scam you these days. I would suggest that you do not buy online. Or if you do, meet the breeder, puppy and the puppies parents in person first. If I were you, take the time to find someone locally OR find a respected person here on YT that can refer you. You can always research a breeder online to find if there is any negative information regarding them. I drove 16 hours total just to pick up my girl Mia from another YT member. Its always more comforting to be able to see the breeders home, see the parents and meet the puppy first.

| Ask lots of questions! And expect to be asked lots of questions in return. Check here with YT first--chances are good that someone will have insight on the breeder. Know what red flags to look for that would indicate that you may be dealing with a shady breeders. (Do you know what the common red flags are?) If they have a website, post it and get feedback from members here. Welcome to YT! |

| Thank you soo much for your insight. I am new to this whole thing, and I just posted the same thing I already did today...lol I had one person tell me that the breeder I was looking at sounded very suspicious. I am hoping that someone on YT will have pups for sale in the coming months. I am in no hurry, b/c I want to make sure I get what I want!! I am just anxious!! Also, I am not sure what the red flags are in a "shady" breeder. Is there someone where I can go to read up on this?? |
