| Bailey has been snapping at us lately?? Bailey is 7 months old and has NEVER snapped or growled at anyone (Well except Carson ) but in the past 2 weeks she's either growled or snapped at us at least once a day. I was dead asleep the other night and she started growling and when I opened my eyes she lunged at me! I don't know if it was because it was dark and she couldn't see who I was or what. Then a couple of days later we were all dead asleep and she was between my boyfriend and I and she started growling and lunged at his neck?! It's not just when it's dark either.. sometimes when I go in to give her a kiss she will growl and snap at me. She's never bit either of us but it makes me really sad that she's doing this. Nothing has happened in the past 2 weeks so I don't understand why this started out of nowhere. It really surprises me that she does this to ME because she is seriously obsessed with me. She follows me EVERYWHERE and when we come home she could care less about seeing my boyfriend.. comes straight to me and gives me kisses (He gets mad about this haha ). She has been a lot better in the past two days for some reason. She's usually really good and lovey dovey with us but she does this out of the blue sometimes and I don't understand why. Have any of you ever had your babies do this?

| Is there any chance that she is going into heat? And that is making her more edgy? |

| Something Similar happened Molly became a bit more aggressive around that age too. She is now 1 year). Her 'play' was a bit too rough and she was still nippy. I was concerned & sometimes a bit afraid. To stop it, I would stop playing or giving her attention when she was became too rough. She learned. I think that the idea that she may be starting her first heat sounds possible too. That can happen around 7 mos. and certainly changes behavior. |

| I just wanted to say good luck with figuring this out. I wish I could offer some help, but we haven't had this problem with our three! I'm sure you will get alot of good advice.

Yes this has happend to me and my Yorkie is a male. It happened twice and both times I considered it a full blown attack! After the second time I banned him from the bed. We have a wonderful relationship Bud and I so this was a total shock! I did some research and the only thing I could come up with is he deceided the bed was "HIS" and I was the intruder. I made him stay on the floor attaching a 6ft light weight leash to a light weight step in harness attached to a dresser. His bed and blanket were there as well. I made sure he could not jump on the bed. I did this for three months and kept the door to the bedroom shut during the day when I was not at home. He needed to understand the bed was mine and he was the guest not the other way around. It worked! It's been 1 1/2 yrs since the last attack. I also pick him up on the bed at night. I do not allow him to jump up by himself. I also keep his blanklet off the bed now. He sleeps on mine. Good luck. Unless you have personally gone threw such an ordeal you wouldn't understand how territoral these little ones can get. Having a dog attack you when your half asleep in the dark is pretty scary stuff! Thank heavens for pillows! | |

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | I have 6 sleep with us. Our Chelsey would growl if we even moved in our sleep. I would put her on the floor and say NO. This went on for a few weeks at about 1 yr old. She is over two now and really knows it is our bed.

| My 4-month femal is aggressive just now! She woke me up 2am to be let out to poop and pee. Then she doesn't want to go back to her crate and bd to sleep. She plays roughly and naughty. Taking my slippers several times even when i say "NO". She even growls hard while chewing her toys playing by herself. She runs so fast across the room back and forth... Why is she suddenly so "crazy"???

| well, that's good to hear... it thought rabies is acting up cause she bit me the other day and it had blood, and she wasn't vaccinated yet. last night she wanted to bite everything she saw--my feet. slippers, toys, crate, paperbags, plastics, chairs, etc.
