Awhile back I had advertised something on the internet for sale. I got several replys from some that I knew didn't speak or type good english. I knew they were trying to scam me. So I thought I will just follow thru with it and see what happens. I got 2 of these money Orders for 850.00 each. They said they would make arrangements to pick the item up. They are not real, it was a scam ,as I thought.
I thought I would post what fake ones look like, even my bank said they certainly looked real and they would have cashed them and it would have came back on me.

Thats just it, It doesnt look fake. You have to go on instinct. You can cash these then about a month later it comes back and you are stuck.

So , did they (or the so called agent) showed up at your door to pick up?
the money order looks so real , I had never seen one before ..thank you so much for given us the opportunity to see it, I never thought it would look just like the real ones , now I know why so many people get scam.

LOl, no they never showed up. I emailed them and told them I knew the MO was not real and a few other things and they never replied.

wow it's shocks me that now a days there is so much technology on the wrong side of the law.

Lucky that you are not naive, im sure that someone just starting out would have fallen for it.

Those of you who take money orders or such for payments should request bank certified checks to be on the safe side.

P.S good posting so people are aware

OMG... they sure would have duped me!!! I think it looks legit. Guess a person should only accept paypal or certified bank cheque.

We print money gram money orders at the store where I work. Ours only go up to 500.00. We do have a number to call to verify if the M.O. has been stolen, cancelled or altered. The one you have definately looks real!! Did the little circle at the bottom work correctly? Just wondered if they can fake that also.

Yes they are most definitely fake....working at a bank and all we see these all the time. The coloring will be off and also just by the micr line i could tell there is no FULL account number and the check number is not even correct. Some people think they can pull a fast one. Luckily at my bank we are trained to know what is real and what is fake. Of course there are other items and looks to your money order that put up a red flag however, i cant release detail as that would give an insight to those producing them to correct their errors and perfect them more. LOL Good job on noticing this!
