| Two or more? How do you leave one alone? There are times when I want to take only one dog with me someplace, like when I go to get my car serviced. The dealership is dog friendly. Taking both girls would be too disruptive, so I use times like this to take one and have some one-on-one time. Last time, I took Gracie and left Holly home. Holly screamed bloody murder when we left and was screaming when we got home. Its probably my fault for not leaving her home alone more often. Do you have this same problem? How do you handle it? Is it a rule that all or none go? Should I just keep leaving Holly alone once in a while so she gets to understand that I will be home and that she is OK alone?

| I'd be curious to know as well. I have three but always take all or none- unless it's a vet appointment.

YT 2000 Club Member | Mine are never really left alone, I have 4 boy's and their is alway's one or more home with the dogs when I leave. I am told that Jeter will still cry the whole time I am gone I started to call him my stalker, I can't go to the restroom with out him sitting outside the door waiting for me to get out And Heaven forbid I go out on the porch and talk to my neighbor he sits at the screen door yelping for me! Thankfully Yumi Yasha and Axl are not like that yet, they are 14 weeks old, so I wander if they will get like Jeter eventually

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I have 4 but my pom never goes with me as she is old and hates being in a crate and in the car. So sometimes I take 2 and that leaves 2 at home. Once in awhile I just take Roxie and when we get back the other seem to be mad at her. I guess the only way to get them use to it is to do it more often. Could you take them both but keep one in the crate?

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Get another....then when you take one somewhere..no one is left home alone. My boys don't seem to mind being left home....Ramsey, however, goes insane. She wants to go EVERY time...well right up until we return home from a vet trip....she sniffs and realizes....oooooo, you went to the bad place. Glad I stayed home.

| Mine will bark at you if you go to take one and not the other so I usually take them both or neither

Missing Yoshi Everyday! Donating Member | i was told by a petsmart trainer that if i crate them by themselves it teaches them to be independant..but if i crate them all together then when i take 1 they remaining screams...hehe...so i been crating MeiLing. Yoshi and Kioko in their own crate...because i did noticed that when 1 is missing the other 2 screams, howl and cry like there is no tomorrow...but they are getting a lot better...so good luck!

| Boo is not happy in the car. He doesn't hate it, he's just not happy. He's all about the destination, not the trip. Anything longer then a few minutes and he starts the "Are we there yet?" whining. I take Gracie Ruth with me whenever possible. I do feel somewhat bad for Boo being left at home, but I give him extra biscuits before we leave and I think he rather enjoys the quite time when the pesky little sister isn't there to bother him. Boo does like to cuddle and I just make sure to spend extra, just him and me cuddle time with him. He also likes to be in the backyard a lot. Some Saturdays I must open the back door for him 50 times. But that's a small price to pay to have him happy.

| I take both or neither... I tried to take Rocco one day with me and leave Roxi... She had an absolute FIT and I felt SOOOOO bad that as soon as I got outside, I came back in and got her... It is VERY hard to go out on your own with 2 dogs so my B/F and I take them together... But I won't take one w/out the other... I don't think it's fair for my babies. But what we do do is my b/f will take one out somewhere, and I'll take the other. That way we both get one on one time... Then the next time we switch!!

| I have the same issue. Alphy is so easy to take places because he's so mellow. Murphy is a handful. I always feel bad even leaving Murphy behind. But even when they are home Alphy is out and Murphy is locked in the kitchen since he's still a puppy. Tough one. I also can't figure out how to get Murphy to leave Alphy alone when Alphy doesn't want to play. I think our only alternative is to get the 3rd one!!! LOL

| I have two and I have an all go or none go policy. I just could not imagine leaving one behind alone Sometimes I REALLY wish I could take just one, but that rarely ever happens.
