??how to maintenance/clean a pin brush??

I've been using christensen pin brushs & buttercombs for 3 years yet I rarely clean them so I have to buy new one every year. Could anyone tell me about proper maintenance or clean them. thank you very much. I'm really asshame for my ignorance.

Wow, send me your old ones. I just use a comb or my fingers to pull hair out of the brush, you could wash bushes and combs in shampoo. Mine have never even looked dirty, so I haven't really washed them yet.

I just pull the hairs out of the brush. It never really gets too dirty or anything. If you find that your fingers can't reach some of the hairs, you can use a toothpick to pull the hair up and off of the brush/comb.

I also just use my fingers to pull the hair out. Never noticed any dirt left behind. The stainless steel combs could definitely go through the dishwasher if you felt them really dirty, but I don't think I'd do the same for the pin brush, especially with the wooden handle.

actually, I do the same as you guys yet my old pin brushes and buttercombs were rusted so I have to buy new one. thus, I think I might do something wrong

If they are rusting it might have something to do with the way you are storing them. Is it humid in Thailand? I've always imagined it to be, but don't know. Maybe storing them with those little packets that absorb moisture might do the trick. There are products that eat rust off. We don't have that problem in Arizona.

Maybe....after each use, blow them dry with your blow dryer and store them in a zip lock bag. That will keep the moisture out if you dry them thoroughly before placing them in there.
