Hot Dog !! Not the kind you eat! Hi all, It has been forever since I have logged on, but I have some problems that I hope can get some answers for. My little Pita first of all is insane, but she constantly gets so worked up that her body tempature sky rockets. She will be a normal temp one second and then she gets anxious or excited about something and then she gets sooo hot, so hot she kinda of sweats. She gets all moist and sticky. Do other Yorkies do this or should I take her to the vet? And either she has a nervous disorder or or she is just neurotic, but she will just sit and shiver like she is cold until she gets what she wants. How do I calm her down? And her Barking!!! I cant get her to stop. She will look straight at me and bark. Or she will just walk around the house and do this muffled little bark like she is complaining about something under her breath. GOD HELP ME! Any suggestions for any of this? Please.

Poor little girl. She does sound very nervous and I don't think that is normal. I think I would be having her checked out with a Vet. to see if there is a medical reason. In the meantime, buy some Rescue Remedy and give that to her a couple times a day to see if it helps calm her.

I also noticed that this just started happening recently. She hasnt always been this way...especially her body temp getting so high. That is what really started to make me worry about her mental health.
