| A bad reaction to Frontline! I have always used advantage for fleas, but it has not been working so well. So I decided to try Frontline. Well I put a half of one on Tinkerbell who is 5 lbs and then put a whole one on my maltese Chloe who is about 7. Well Chloe's skin is red and raw and bleeding a bit and she is scratching it terribly! Has anyone had this happen with Frontline??? |

| I personally haven't had any experience with neither so i'm not much help. I do hope that Chloe gets better! I can't find the thread right now, but there was one regarding Frontline, you might want to type it in the search and see what you find. Good luck, best wishes, and I hope Chloe is ok! |

| I am soo sorry I can't be of more help to you. But I do want to say I hope she is OK. Poor little thing. Do you have an emergency vet you can call and see what they think? I would do that asap! Just to be safe! I hope she feels better.

| Mine have been on Frontline Plus for over a year and never have had this experience. If there's an 800 number on the box, I'd call them, otherwise, call you vet. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I think I'd call the vet too - something sounds off about that and maybe she could be allergic or something ? Hope you find out - that's no fun at all |

| Yes Rio had a bad skin reaction to the frontline plus. His skin was very red and raw looking like he had been burned. They can maybe give you something to stop the itching but thats probably about it. I would bathe your baby in some oatmeal or teatree oil shampoo and see if that helps. You can put teatree oil on the raw spots too. If you used the Plus and had this reaction like I did, I switched to just the Top Spot and haven't had any probs with that. |

| Thank you for the responses about this. Her skin looked like it had a chemical burn last night. But this morning it is practically all better. She must have been allergic to it. Won't use that again! |

| About a week ago, someone on here said not to use Frontline plus since it is too strong for our yorkies. You never know which one (yorkies) could have a reaction. I try to be so careful now and don't even change their food since Mickey had his reaction. He is back to his normal self. TG! Many here have said to just use the Advantage. Best of luck to you. Try washing him with regular shampoo too, this will help get rid of some of the extra left on still and you might still want to call your vet to make sure. Let us know how it goes. T. |
