| getting sick Ok so before i posted that thread about asking if milk was ok because i had read that it was before i had already given him a little milk. hes thrown up more than a few times. Should i be worried or does he just need to get it out of his system?? I feel sooooo bad!

| Like I posted on the other thread, most dogs are lactose intolerant. Now you know that Pudgy is too. When Bailey threw up he threw up like 4 times and that was it. He had diarrehha (sp?) for a day afterwards as well. I don't know if you can do anything to stop it? Other than not giving him anything else dairy |

| Don't beat yourself up. You didn't know and you would think it would be a treat. They say after weaning dogs cannot really tolerate milk well. I am sure he will be fine. |

| don't be too upset with yourself, I've done it too. Lil Bear loves the lick milk out of our glassess and loves cheese....only way I can give her heartworm meds and any other meds. did the some with moose, and as much as i hate to admit it it took me her getting sick twice to relize it was dairy. The first time I gave her a little milk cause lil bear got some and soon after moose puked. About a month later I was giving both of them their heartworm treatment and moose ran to her crate and puked. As I was cleaning out her house it hit me...she's lactose interant...how stupid am I. Eventhough moose looks sad when lil bear is having a sip of milk, I tell her that she will thank me for finally figuring it out.
