| do they really cry? my sister always notices the tear stains on her baby.. and she claims that he was crying.. and she accused us of being mean to her Rocky (which i never do since i love Rocky like my own child) i never believed a word she said.. and i assumed she was just being weird.. until i got my Chippy.. and i actually tested it out.. or not tested it.. but i observed that my baby NEVER had tear stains when he's with me for the whole day or when he's around me at all.. but when i come home from work or something he has tear stains.. could they really cry? what do you think? and could it be from sadness and missing their mamas? |

| I honestly do not know, but my sister says that same thing! Macy was crying when max left. I think its pretty funny because I never thought that they cried actual tears. I just look at her and say...hes my dog he has to come home no more guilt trip ok!

| Yes! Everyone thinks I am crazy, they say dogs cannot cry, but they have feelings to and in my opinion they cry when their feeling are hurt.

One of my girls cries when she can't get her way. Actually since she does it so often I think she's playing tricks on me because she always gets her way. Well at least she did with her daddy and now daddy is gone for 1 year. (he's been deployed to Iraq) So when her daddy calls he always says you better not let her cry. Sometimes I think he loves her more than he loves me But yes I agree...when their feelings are hurt I believe they cry too....so call me crazy too! | |

| My little Tulsa had a premature birth and lost her singleton last year and she was inconsolible. We held her during the day and tried to be with her every minute, but when it was time for bed and I put her in her little bed ... she went searching and when she could not find her baby she began to cry. It was breaking my heart to hear such pain and I picked her up and wrapped her in a blanket and brought her back to my chair with me where we both cried for hours and she with big huge sobs. Take it from me .... they do cry. |

I never really thought about that. I've always been told dogs don't have tear ducts. But they HAVE to have tear ducts cause they have tear stains, right? I'll have to pay more attention to Tucker.

| Well I'm not going to say that dogs do not cry tears from sadness but I will say some dogs just have runnier eyes. My little Sugar has runnier eyes than Spike and Gracie and I can assure you that he is in no way a sad baby.
