I found her on craigslist on Sunday. She's a Yorkie/Doxie mix, but she looks like all Yorkie to me. She's 9 months & as sweet as can be. I went to see her today, sweet. Person's son was allergic & they couldn't keep her.

I'm open on suggestions on how to introduce her to Lucy. I will be picking her up to bring her home on Tuesday.

She is adorable!!! I've never had a problem introducing new family members, so long as Lucy knows you're boss and the newbie doesn't get all the attention it should be fine! Just give her some time if she doesn't instantly fall in love with her new playmate, that will come and they'll be the best of friends in no time! A crate/playpen is a great idea to give them both their own space! Can't wait to see lots of pic's!

Congratulations. She is a cutie, she sure does look all yorkie. I have brought 4 puppies all females into my home over the past 2 1.2 years and have had no problems. They all learn to get along or even instantly like each other. Just give Lucy lots of attention. Seeing the puppy is a little older it may be easier for Lucy to adjust to.

Her name is Pebbles, it kinda matches her so I doubt we'll change it. She, of course is nervous now. Hope that doesn't take to long for her to get comfortable. Lucy has been jealous some, poor baby, she gets in between me & the new girl. It will all work out.

I will post up pic's tomorrow. I'm on vacation & will chat more then!

Congratulations on your new baby girl! I like the name Pebbles....and she's a sweetie. It took my pups a couple of weeks to be really comfortable with each other. By the end of the first week.......they could tolerate the new one to lay down on the sofa next to each other. I think it's really important to give them their own crate/bed that they know is only theirs. Good luck with the new addition!

I believe I did save her. She was on the worst food ever (Ol' Roy's dry whatever) & her skin & coat is itchy & dry probable because of that. That food is gone!! I know I'll have a bad poo time because I changed her to my food, but there was not a constancy with her food anyway according to her old mom.
Her little dirty harness was on her all the time & causing sore spots under her little arms. I found those last night after her bath. That is gone!!

She has some training to get used to that is certain, but she is a cutie & will be a good doggie!!
