Is anyone going?

I would love to make it to this one. I missed the one last year. But I thougt that they cancelled this year.......well I was on the yorkiemom site today and i found out that there IS going to be one......

Its Augest 2nd and 3rd.

I actually had a camping weekend planned that weekend but I will gladly cancel to meet my fellow YTers!

Can anyone give me details on when & where the Michigan 2008 Yorkie Fair is?? I keep trying the link that was posted, but it's not working and google just brings me to the 2007 chats.

2008 will be a great year for the Yorkie Fair
Staff, we have changed our theme to an all
doggy Expo so we can invite all friendly
breeds to the event and bring in more vendors.

We also have changed our event site to
accommodate live in campers, RV's (no tents)
who will be traveling from afar. Our location is
not in a rural area like 2007's event, it is now in
a populated area with nearby shopping, food,
etc. So 2008's EXPO should be bigger and
better, easier to get to, and more attendees.
We are working on finding Pet Friendly hotels
in the area, within 10 miles or so of the event
site.

!!!!!UPDATE!!!!!
We've been working hard to plan 2008's Expo,
We've invited Vladae the Dog Wizard and he's
accepted!, we've got food and refreshments
available during the event, we have groomers
for both days giving demos and trimming
nails, Pet Photographer Tom again!.. we've
invited various rescue groups too!....We will
have media coverage galore!..much more in
the works to make our EXPO a great success!

I think this event has been cancelled. That was the last I had heard, but now the pop up is removed from the site??
Although not a yorkie fair we do have meet ups usually once a month here in Michigan if anyone is interested.

All over, actually. There are a couple in Dearborn and lots in the St. John's area. The next one is scheduled for 7/28 in St. John's.

Jennifer, due to the poor economy and rising gas prices, several of our out of state vendors pulled out. We had no choice but to cancel the 2008 event. We could have put on a smaller event with less vendors, but we wanted it to be a good experience for shoppers and the rescue groups, so we just could not do it this year.We are hoping to put it on again in 2009 once the presidential election is over and the economy becomes more stable.there was no entry fee or parking fee for shoppers. Rescue groups did not have to pay to be there either.We were asking $100.00 for vendors to have an 8' X 10' space.Hope to see you there next year!Sue-n-Crew
