| Mia I got her Friday june 13th , I took her to my vet Monday june 16 she is still there, when I got her from stacy I was told she has bad teeth and would need to be spayed that she is 5 yrs old. I saw her teeth and understood what had to be done. I took her to the vets Monday for an exam. So i knew how much her dental would cost me. They wont do no work cause she is on a antibiotic fluid cause her teeth were so bad they didnt want to take chances . There running antibiotic fliuds in her for a few days. They cant pull her teeth which will be every single one she has left until she gets better. They are doing blood work on her as well to make sure she is ok enough to put her under to maek sure her liver and kidneys can take the surgrey and herself as well. When I got her all she did was lay in my arms. The weekend all she did was sleep never got up to walk around. I was concerned about her health cause her teeth are decade so bad that is has poisoned her system. Im leaving her with the vet till she has her antibiotic fluids done. All she does at the vets is sleeps as well. She doesnt move much at all. My vet also said she looks older then 5 so that is why I asked for help on a birthdate. Now that I know she is born Feb 2002 that help the vet at well. Hopefully her liver doesnt fail do to the stress of moving around and her poisoning from her teeth. I emailed stacy again 4 times now and she doesnt reply back. When I wanted to come buy her and set up an appointment to see her she was happy to answer emails fast and prompt now that this is going on I dont hear a peep back. That is what else worries me, and I just found out she is in trouble with the township she lives in do to many dog in her home a zoneing dont allow it. Im just thinking maybe she just wanted to get rid of her. What Im going threw now I just dont know. I understood she needed dental care and to be spayed. But I didnt think poor mia was slowly dieing from poisoning of her rotten teeth. I feel everyone who has owned poor mia left her health go down and didnt care for her. Now that she has a loving home who wants to care and love her she might not be able to live long enough to get to know true love buy someone like me. I really wanted a yorkie, and Stacy was nice to me when I met her. Dont get me wrong she was willing to do payment with me on a male 6 month old she was asking 750 for. She had a story with him as well. But I was looking for an older lap dog to retire there life with. Im just sad to see Mia needed more care then what Stacy told me. Im just glad in a way for the fact that Im the one who really cared to take her and get her medical help. And the vets were I live do keep dogs longer then 2 days. She is really only there this is her 3rd night maybe buy Friday if she dont die she can come home. But the vet wanted to get her better and do her surgreys but if they cant her teeth will start this poisoning all over again. That is why I want her feeling better.I only had her a short time but I do already love her or I wouldnt have took on this exspence but then Mia should hae been a free adoption knowing I was going to stick hundreds in her to get her healthy and if she passes im lost with out a dog, and all the vet bills. I guess that is the chance you take when you care and love a pet. Last edited by anewyorkowner; 06-18-2008 at 03:24 PM. |

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | Do you remember when Stacy got Mia? I was at her house a while back, and I don't remember there being a dog named Mia. Of course, she may have gotten her after I was there. I hope she gets better soon!

| All I can say is that I truly hope thing work out for Mia and that she is able to get passed whatever ailments she is suffering from. I hope that you get the answers you are searching for and I hope that whatever issues Stacy is dealing with work out for her as well. (Doesn't seem like there is a winner on either side in this situation.) I really wish that I had some words of wisdom for you, but despite popular belief, I rarely hear from Stacy anymore. (Although apparently I'm her suposed 'business parter' and sell her puppies for her here on YT! Huh, WHY oh WHY am I always the last to know these things and WHERE are all these people I've contacted to sell pups to? ) Good luck and keep us updated on Mia's progress. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | oh wow - her teeth must really really be bad - poor little girl -- it sounds like you're doing your best and I agree - I think the breeder should incur some of the cost OR refund the money you paid for her since it's worse than you thought. I'd be upset too if I didn't hear a word back after getting a yorkie that's this sick...you do fall in love with them quick ....it must be frustrating to be ignored by Sylvan - but from what I've read this last year or so - this isn't the 1st time she's done this to someone. What a nightmare.... it seems she really needs to make some major changes in her breeding 'program'. or even better - maybe stop breeding. It sounds like she isn't in it for the dogs anymore just the $$ This is sad and it must be awful for your new yorkie. GOOD luck and I hope they can help her.

Mia is very cute I remember.. I have seen her pic and considered getting her before. But knowing her past condition, I couldn't make the commitment...

| I feel so sad for poor little Mia! I really feel bad that the breeder wasn't forthcoming with the proper health information with the new owner At the very least, she could do the right thing and refund the price of the dog......to help pay for the vet bills! I am praying for a happy ending for all!! |
