| I'm a terrible Yorkie mommy! I took Baxter for his first grooming today. I knew he was in bad shape with matts because he was neutered and had his dewclaws removed 3 weeks ago and I didn't brush him well then because he felt so bad. Now the lady at the vet's said they would have to shave him to the skin!! She said they could leave some hair on his head. Now I wish I had made him let me groom him. I hope he's not going to hurt from this. When I trimmed the hair on his tail before he acted like I had cut off his personality. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Poor little thing the mats have really been bad, it can happen really fast. If I were you, I would get him a cute little summer shirt, and a bottle of Cowboy Magic Detangler. It really works well getting out those mats, and even helps prevent them.

| I feel badly for you. I had to have MacTavish cut down. He wasn't "skinned" but he was pretty short. Mac showed no signs of resentment or anything. He was just glad to be home. Since it's summer, your boy may like not having the longer coat. Besides, it will grow and this will give you time to stay on top of the brushing. All the Best!
