OK SO today Canella is 5 months old and i just read that girls post about her yorkie's teeth and had a couple questions about grooming...i try to brush canella every day but sometimes it is every other day i get worried about her matting so i just take the precaution and brush her...and i give her a bath once a week...is that too much?...sometimes i even feel like she gets too dirty before the week is even over but i dont wanna over do it...and when should i start brushing her teeth?...i read in a book i can start at about 6 months...is that right?...ok well i would love to get everyones take on this subject

The earlier that you start brushing the better. That will help your baby get used to brushing both the teeth and coat. You might start out with the finger brush for the teeth until she gets use to putting something in her mouth. Once a week isn't too often to bathe her either. Welcome to Yorkietalk.

Welcome. I bathe mine every couple of weeks but alot of people do it every week. Start getting her use to brushing right away.

Hello!! We bath Koda & Kammie every Friday night. Kammie gets combed & brushed once a day and Koda gets it 2 times a day cause he tends to mat so bad. 2 diff coats 2 diff plans

Also on bath night we brush teeth w/ the finger brush and doggie toothpaste

They hate it so we only do it the 1 time a week.
