| Idea....good, bad?? I was thinking of getting those glue on rhinestone fingernail things and put one on Nikki's toe. I thought it would be pretty, but two things come to mind. Would it even show and would the glue be safe on her nail? Comments?

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | It sounds pretty - but I have a feeling it would be so sparkly it would get chewed off and swallowed - they sell pet nail polish but I don't know how safe that is either -....IF you have a chewer - I wouldn't do it - that's just me - but it DOES sound cool... |

| I was thinking the same thing about them getting swallowed. It PROBABLY wouldn't hurt them but....... The nail polish - I used to raise Poodles, the nail polish never hurt them. Course that was like 30 years ago. Nail polish isn't the same as it was back then but that doesn't mean it's any safer either. Up to you, I guess. |

| You would probably have to shave her feet for them to show? If she did chew it off, it is probably so tiny it wouldn't hurt anything and I am sure nail polish would not hurt her as long as it is dry. I know my pups eat a lot of stuff besides food, but they don't chew their nails.

| They do sell nail polish for dogs. However, I'd think you'd have to cut the hair back off of her toes so you could see it and I'm not so sure that would look good. I'd do the stick on only if going somewhere and you want her to look extra cute and chic but not around the house on a daily basis. |

| Thanks for the feedback. I guess I won't attempt it. I wouldn't want to cut the hair around her toes short enough to see the stone anyway.....Nikki will probably be glad I have given up on the experiment!

| Very cute idea, I'm afraid that the jewel won't show due to the hair, but hey who cares, YOU will know it is there and YOU will be able to admire her pretty little toes. I wouldn't think the jewels would pose too much of a choking hazard (too small) and if the glue is safe for human nails, it should be safe for Yorkie nails..... not only that the amount of glue is so small Go for it, take some pics to share. Who knows, you might be a trens setter! |

| Could Work As long as the glue is non-toxic, it can~t hurt her unless she chews he pretty rhinestone off and swallows it. That is where a possible problem can occur. I would invest in some clear childrens nailpolish that is nontoxic. Use the non-toxic glue to put the rhinestone on and then cover it with the clear non-toxic nail polish. WATCH HER CLOSELY to see how she does. IF she shows any signs of wanting to chew the jewels off, just take them off immediately with some nail polish remover. And you can use any nail polish at all on the market for humans as long as it is NON-TOXIC. You can also go to petedge.com and buy the nail polish made for dogs. There is no difference from ours except that it is non-toxic which is the only important factor in cse our babies do decide to chew on their nails. Good luck!
