| Aw, I feel so bad. Hi, how's everyone? I'm all right, but a little sad. I don't have a yorkie baby yet, but my new little girl is coming home on May 30th. I'm so excited! I do have another dog. His name is Odie, he's a terrier mix. 9 pounds 4 ounces of pure rotti. (he's acts like he's a big man) I took him to the vet today for his shots, and to be neutered. I was on pins and needles all day. The vet made me very nervous, I had to sign a consent/waiver form after he was given the okay. I gave her my cell number and work number just in case. I got a call about an hour after I dropped him off, she scared the heck outta me. She was just calling to let me know everything was going good and to ask if I wanted Odie's dewclaws removed. I said go ahead might as well do it now, instead of him having to go under again in the future. Well, I picked him up the vet told me what they did and to watch him for the next few days no running around like a little mad man. To top it off he had two teeth pulled. He was so happy to see me, he gave a little yip when he heard my voice, the vet got me to go in the back to get him. The little grump was growling at everyone who walked by his kennel. He was very happy to see him, he literally jumped into my arms as soon as the kennel was opened. His head bumped straight into my jaw. lol. We're okay. Anyways I feel so bad, because I know he's in a bit of pain. All he's been doing is following me around and he won't let me do anything, he just wants to lay on me with his head on my chest. His sweet little chocolate eyes looking at me. He whines when he can't see me...I know it had to be done and it's for his health and well being, but I still feel guilty. I wish I could just take away what he's feeling. It'll get better I know. I know this isn't about my yorkie, but about my skittle, I just had to tell someone how I was feeling about it. Thank you. |

| Ahhhh, you sound like such a good mommy. It's just like when our children have to have their vaccinations and we know it is going to hurt them. It is for their own good but that doesn't take away the guilt that we are deliberately choosing to hurt them. Then if they have a reaction to the shot, we feel more guilty. It's a vicious circle. We know they will get better, but in the mean-time.......

I Love Thor Donating Member | Poor little guy. You sound like you are doing a great job with him and so excited about your soon to be new addition! I remember when both Thor and Harry got neutered, and they were just so pathetic afterwards! He'll return to himself in a few days, but for now, I'm sure he's just needing lots of love from you!...which I'm sure you're giving him lots of! |
