White patch on stomaches!

Good morning
Chloe had her 5th litter, and for the first time there were white patches on their stomaches, plus one even has a pink nose. Is this common??
We used a new sire, so maybe he passed this on, or did somebody else sneak in when we weren't looking
Any comments??

Please ignore the late night jokers.

There is nothing wrong with your litter. It is not at all uncommon for newborn pups to have white patches on their chests and feet when they are born. More than likely, it will go away as they grow and their coat begins to grow out. Don't fret.

It's too bad.... someone who is obviously so clever but can't use that characteristic in a social setting. Pity....

But truly - they hate it when they don't get attention. Can you imagine how irritating that is to type something provocative and NOT get any attention??? I'd love to see the frustration! We should just report and never give 'em any attention. (Ooooh, is that the mean side of me coming out? )

I don't know what happened to my post last night (must have shut down too quickly last night) but I had posted to congratulate Chloe on her litter. Don't know about the patches, but I'll bet they're darling!!

Well thanks to you all for the support!!!
I'm glad that Hotrod's ears are staying up ( I wrote to you...) I'll try and post some new pics of this current litter (there are some of her previous litters in the pics sect under lilliput I think) Other than the white they look exactly like her other puppies...when they are on their bellies nursing I don't see any difference at all, until I pick them up...anyway, they are the cutest little 6 pack ever, so we'll just wait and see Iguess.

Did the stud have any white? Have you asked the owner of the male if he, as a puppy, had white?? I forgot how many you said, out of the six, have these patches...?

Yes, the owner said that the sire had white...all 6 of them have from a little dash to quite a big splash of white, plus one has a pink nose...first time this has happened. I am hoping that all this has come from the new daddy....

Since they all have white, it sounds like they are similar to a lot of Yorkies that have some and then blends into their tan/gold as they get older. Most of the time, you won't be able to see that there was ever white there. In fact, I have read that the ones with the white end up with a nice sliky coat. There are times that they can carry the piebald gene, but it doesn't sound like this is the case with your puppies, since they all have the white (but who knows). I would love to see pictures of them...they sound cute!
