| Eeeek! Destructive Yorkie! Eeeek! My boyfriend just realized that Olivia chewed through his surround sound cord! I guess I'll be getting some Apple Bitter this weekend. I had to explain to him that she doesn't know any better and that she thinks anything on the floor is fair game. This is her first time being destructive. Anyone have a destructive yorkie story to share? (Olivia's really hoping some of her YT furbaby friends will share their stories so her mommy and daddy know she's not the only one!) |

| Save some money use clear stick antiperspirant. Go to the 99 cent store and buy some. I have used this with my boys and have recommended it to dozens here at YT and it has been successful if not all of the time, at least 99% of the time. Anything that you do not want them to chew, wood, cords, etc. coat with the antiperspirant and the dog will take one taste and never again. Try it, it works!!! |

| Biting Muffin tries at times to bite the wall corners and stuff but I tell her "No bite" and she stops. It's really not that often that she does it so I should count my blessings...

| Mine has been pretty good with cords, but my wood bedroom furniture felt the rath-o-Wembley one Saturday morning when I decided to sleep late. I woke up and she was actually lying on the floor, chewing the bottom corner of my dresser drawer. She looked at me like "what'd I do?" I then saw that she had already eaten the corner of hubby's dresser. Bitter apple seemed to take care of the chewing, and a wood marker bought at Bed Bath and Beyond seemed to hide the chew marks (from a distance, anyway). My dog LOVES deoderant, so I never tried the deoderant trick; Bitter apple seems to work with her, and it has been suggested to me that small amounts of tabasco sauce is also a good chew deterrant. Good luck with your little one! Rachel |

how do you get them to stop trying to tear up the sheets before they settle down for the night. ahia literally ate the corner of my sheet. (she was more of a puppy then) but still every night she wants to chew on it. can't put antiperspirant on the whole sheet. lol

| I have to keep all the bathroom doors closed all the time or Mellie will also unravel the toilet paper then she likes to roll around in it. She reminds me of the puppy in the cottenelle (sp) commercial. She also likes to eat the molding around my bedroom door. Mac just likes to kill stuff animals.

| When Muffin was a baby she pulled our carpet a few places close to the wall. You could see the little spots from her pulling the threads. Thank goodness she stopped. That was the only thing she ever did besides unroll the toilet paper. Kacee started to chew on the leg of a rocker, but I caught it in time and deodorant was applied and she hasn't bothered anything since, so far! |
