| Peanut is FAMOUS.... (well more like his gut is!) The local paper came out today and guess who made it? Yep PEANUT!! A few weeks ago I came on here because my baby was really bad sick. For those that don’t know he was throwing up and weak acting. His blood work showed some major problems and he was so lethargic. Long story short my “eat everything” dog had eaten some fishing line. I was so upset he had to stay the night there with an IV, the vet gave me his cell phone number if I had any worries. Turns out the X-ray also revealed he had a small bright shinny object in his stomach! It was a diamond stud earring my daughter lost. OHHHHHH what I went through……… anyway he passed everything but now here is the lighter side of the story! (I can laugh now about it!) The vet wrote a story about it and put his x-ray in the story too! My mouth dropped open when I read the title, “A Yorkshire Puppy Named Peanut.” The vet told all about this crazy women……….. NOOOOOO he didn’t say that but I know that’s what he was thinking, brought him Peanut and what happened. He wanted to make everyone aware of how easy having the responsibility of having a pet can take on so much! SO …… should I think of it like ……. COOL, my baby made the local paper or should I be OH Nooooo I was made an example of? Ohhhhh I really don’t care because if one person reads that story and picks up or watches their babies more I am very OKAY with it! I guess like with my kids I need to start him a scrap book for all his famous moments! (but rule #1 no more VET stories!) I plan on sending a letter to the editor to publicly saying how wonderful and professional he was toward my ummmmm craziness and to Peanut! |

| Aww...Peanut is a celebrity!!! I know these furkids will eat anything. My husband and I barely go through a loaf of bread every two weeks, but my yorkies find a new bread twistie tie every day!!! Where are these coming from??? Oh well I just keep pulling them out of their mouths and throwing them away...

Senior Yorkie Talker | I think the vet should have told you that he was going to do that. But I'm glad that your baby is ok!

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | How exciting; we have a celebrity! Glad everything ok. I've heard of cat burglars, but never a dog burglar.

I was scared.. and a couple days later picked up a runner.. and all of a sudden I see her stud.. I was so glad it was not in one of them...anne |

| Peanut is a celebrity. How exciting!! I bet you were really shocked when you saw his story in the paper??? And with the full details of his not so good diet. Leave it to a little Yorkie to make such a big mess.

| I agree, I think the vet should have told you. Glad Peanut is ok now. It is something what they can eat/get themselves into.

Tell me about it........ The best guess I have is my daughter collects marinet (spelling) dolls and the arms and legs use fishing line. She told me after we found out everything she caught him eating one of her dolls but just threw it away. But I soooooooo agree "What could be tasty about that!" | |
