| Tyke was very young, he was about 10 or 11 weeks, I've never seen such a small pup hike their leg. I don't know if he was just copying my maltese. He could barely keep his balance when he did it! It was very cute though.

Donating YT 10K Club Member | My girl, Ramsey, lifts her left leg up a wee bit. She doesn't want it running down her leg I guess. At 17 months, Reese finally decided he'd try the leg lift...and found it very hard to balance. Or sometimes he would stand next to a pole...and lift the leg opposite the pole. Now sometimes he does sometimes he doesn't.

YT 2000 Club Member | No leg lifts for Jeter yet, he is 7 months old.I truly thought they just were born lifting their leg when they pee! ( mind you I have 4 kids that are all boy's, they had to learn to pee standing up, it wasn't programed in ) I asked his vet about it because I was worried that something was wrong with him( first time pet parent) they had a little laugh about it but then told me that Jeter was fine and he had all boy parts and they work fine. He said not to worry that he will sooner or latter lift his leg, and that he even has a girl dog himself that lifts her leg when she pee's, I was surprised to learn that one

| Bubba (male) was about 7mo. Sissy (female) lifts her leg when the grass is too long. I guess she doesn't like to be tickled

| We had Spike neutered young and he has never lifted his leg. I didn't get Sugar until he was 17 months and he lifted and marked like crazy. After neutering he quit marking and started squatting to potty about half the time. He's so little and lifts his leg so high I think it's adorable though. He is still able to use potty pads because I put them in a doggy litter box. My mom had her little boy neutered young and he lifts his leg to potty.

| I have 3 girls. Two of them are squatters. One, Emily Kate always lifts her left leg when she potties. She learned by watching the neighbor's little boy potty outside from our front window. She always raises the left leg..

| Miko squats when he pees. He is neutered.. He will occassionally raise his leg when he pees outside, but not very often.

| Buddy did not have a male example to watch but he started between 6-7 months. He seems to do it more as a marking thing outside that to really pee. If he really has to go he just squats. I have to saw I find it adorbale to see the little tike lift his leg, but I am betting I won't find it as amusing if he ever tries to mark anything in the house!!
