| Hello, Nice to meet you :) Hi, I am happy to have found this group I am a SAHM of three, a son 16 yrs old and 2 daughters 11 and 13. I have wanted a yorkie for almost 20 years and last week I just went and got one!! My kids and family were shocked when I walked in the door on April 30th with the most lively little cutie squirming in my arms And yes I bought the 1st one I saw too...LOL... I just couldn't walk away from her adorable little face! The girls were excited and my dh just looked and laughed as he walked away! LOL ...My dh has always liked big dogs and never liked little ones. But he knew that I was serious about this and he has grown to like Daisy. Daisy is 10 wks and 3lbs, so she is going to be a big girl I think? (anyone know how to tell?) I will post a pic as soon as I can figure out how to...... |

| Welcome to YT! Can't wait for pictures! A very general rule of thumb to get the adult weight is to triple the weight at 8 weeks and double it at 12 weeks. This can give you a vague idea. BTW, I'm also a SAHM with a 13 yr. old daughter.

Thank you everyone for the welcome. I am not normally so impulsive, but I had been looking at the classifieds on that wed and called the one for her. The lady was very nice. The lady had given her 2 yorkies to a friend, due to her and her husband traveling a lot. When the mother dog became expecting almost immediately, the original owner was offered pick puppy. She accepted and choose her for her FIL and he had to have emergency knee surgery so he became unable to take her. So she was for sale. My mother and I went to see her and I just fell in love with her. I knew she was bigger than what I originally was looking for....but OMG how could I walk away from that adorable face?? LOL.... dad is 7lbs and mom is 8lbs. My 13 yr old dd has a shih-tzu who is 9lbs and 5yrs old. So I figured she would just fit right in The person I got her from was very nice and Daisy is well socialized, clean and a happy girl! Vet checked great I will have my son show me how to post pic's as soon as he gets home from school. I am not real computer savvy. I must say though, she is SOoooo energetic! She seems to either be chewing, bouncing, or sleeping! Potty training is not so good. I have had my carpet cleaner out lots since her arrival. And have taken to sleeping on the couch so I can hear her whine to go potty at nite. She is sleeping from about 10pm until 2-3am then it's out to pee As a SAHM, I am enjoying having her so much. I also assist my dd's cheer coach so she will become an honorary Cheerleader in the fall! Her ears are not all the way up yet though? Any suggestions on how to get them up? The tips have been shaved down short.....do they just come up on their own? I guess I should have done a little more research | |

| Welcome to you and Daisy to YT. Congratulations on becoming a Yorkie owner. We even have a Teapot Club (yorkies over 7lbs) so if Miss Daisy gets over that she can join. |

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Daisy will likely be a big girl like my Krissy who weighted 3 lbs at 12 weeks. She is now 16 lbs and the sweetest of my 5 Yorkies. Post pictures soon and welcome to YT.

| Hello and welcome aboard. I have three Yorkie girls. Zada was three Dec. 5th, Azrael was three Jan. 16th and our new baby is eight months today. Zada is our teapot at 9 pounds, then Azrael is 8 pounds and Razael is four pounds. Better be prepared to get another one in a few months because they are totally addictive. |
