Bella Boo & Diggy Too! Donating GS Member | What did your baby Bark at the first time he/she barked?? And what age where they? I consider the first bark almost like the first word a skin baby says so I'm curious to hear what did your baby talked to the first time??? Bella well was 9 weeks old and we were re-doing my daughter Avery's room so her mirror was propped up against the wall and Bella could see herself she went crazy!!!! She was gonna kick the Yorkie's BUTT!!!! Diggy was a very sick baby so he was a lil later than Bella. He was 3 months old! I was playing with him and I make a whistle sound and he barked his lil head off at me. then he just kept barking even after i stopped and even turned around and walked away belted out a WOOF every few seconds. It was like wait ....look at this....I can Bark so he just kept doing it was funny stuff. He'd sit in the living room floor looking at the carpet barking! So those are my stories now lemme hear yours!!! Have fun!

| I remember that like it was yesterday. Buddy was close to 4months old when he barked for the first time. I was watching TV and he was in the dinning room when he heard someone out in the hall and barked. At first I wasn't sure it was a bark it was so low and LOUD! Then I realized Buddy barked for the first time. It sound like a German Shepard not a Yorkie. Soon after that no bark training began |

I laugh when I read on YT people who say their dog does not bark. I remember thinking that as well. I was sooooooo proud I had such a good boy. Like a skin child, once they find their voice it's downhill from there. | |

| I think Hot Rod was 5 mos old. He and hubby were playing and hubby was barking at him and Hot Rod barked back. Hubby said Hot Rod kinda scared himself when he did it!

| We got Lexie at 12 weeks and she didn't bark for the first week we had her because she had giardia and was very sick. On Christmas day we took her to the emergency vet, he gave her three shots and some antibiotics and within the hour she was a completely different puppy. We went back to my grandparents house and she walked right in and woofed to let everyone know she was back and feeling better. It was the most blessed sound a new mother could hear. I was so worried about her and it was a sign that she was going to get better. We didn't get Tucker until 5 months old, but I'm pretty sure he was born barking

| I first heard Pippin bark at the cat. He was trying desperately to get her to play with him, and when she just stood there all aloof and such he started to bark at her.

| Abby's first bark/growl was at 13 weeks. It was bedtime and i shut off all the lights and at that time she would lay ontop of my cheat area with her butt in my face of course... LOL and I have the habit of cracking the "knuckles" of my toes LOL and as I was doing it she perked up and started barking and growling. i am like what the hell ?! and she ran to my feet and went ballistic on my toes ahahhahahah. i laughed so hard... and mind you it was 12:30 AM. And every since then she is little miss guard dog at any hint of noise she feels is a threat she growls and barks her head off. LOL it was cute tho...

| Emma barked at DH when they were playing together. He barked, and then so did she Milli barked in the first hour we had her home-DH brought Emma in (she was at the sitter's while we went to pick up Milli), and immediately Milli growled at her. Emma got closer to check her out and sniff her, and Milli let out one scrappy little bark and scared Emma silly Now they "talk" to each other all the time-they will even "call" each other from different rooms of the house to come and check out whatever bird or rabbit might be in the yard, or to tell each other to come and play!

YT Addict | lol Okay so I think lullabelle came out barking., We got her at 8 weeks and she was barking and chasing my inlaws dogs ( 2 shelties, 1 chow mix, 1 husky and another yorkie) all around the house. It was the funnyest thing we ever saw. She was only a pound and a half at the time and her bark was so cute she sort of sounded like a raccoon.(sp) |

| Simon first barked at himself in a mirror that was on the floor. I laughed so hard and immediately called my mom so she could hear him. It sounded like a squeak at first and then I think he scared himself. He talked to that "other dog" in the mirror for a long time. I love that moment so much. Hallie was 2.5 when I got her and very quiet. The first time she barked at me was because she wanted me to pick her up and even though she wasn't a puppy it was still something I remember |

| Jake was 10 weeks when I brought him home, and his first really loud bark was when I came out of the bathroom with hair color on my hair. I think he was about 14 weeks. He barked at me, but then when I talked to him, he recognized my voice and realized that I was still mommy. Jackson was 10 weeks, and he barked the day we brought him home. We had been home several hours, and he and Jake were checking each other out and getting used to each other. They were kinda starting to play, and they got into a barking match. It was so funny, it was like they were getting the rules straight from the beginning. After they were done barking, they started playing and having a good time!
