| What a dilemma! My sister just called me. One of her best friends has an AKC yorkie female, 8 mos old that she is going to re-home. She said it wasn't fair to the pup because her family is never home and she needs more attention than they can give. She is willing to give her to me FREE. At first my heart just jumped, but now I'm kind of wondering. How will Lucy and Rebel react. They are seldom around other dogs and do not like to be. They like each other, but I don't think they'd like another yorkie around full time. Am I crazy or should I jump at this opportunity? HELP!

Donating YT 10K Club Member | I just brought the third into my house. The first weekend....the oldest two ignored the newest....2 weeks later everyone is the best of friends. I say...go for it.

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Let me add....since Ramsey and Reese got along so well...I really wondered if adding another would be a problem...so I understand your concern.

| I agree, they will probably adjust within 2 weeks. It may only take a few days. You HAVE to let us know! |

| When we adopted our mill rescue, our other two yorkies were adults and it had been just the two of them. One evening they put Roo in the pecking order and after that all has been fine. And what worked for me was if I did for one I did for all three and then there was no jealousy. Now they love each other. It can work. |

| DO IT! If you can handle another one, that is. I know I'm good with 2 When Sammy came to us, we knew Loki didn't like most other dogs. Big dogs scared him... so we were a little worried when we got Sam. Sammy was re-homed just like this. She was cared for, but they just didn't have the time she needed (and still needs.. Sam's crazy!). Anyway, she came in and was scared and Loki just kind of ignored her. I was worried for about a week and then we caught them sleeping next to each other! 2 weeks or so later they were playing (!!!) something Loki never did before with another dog! Now they love each other.

| If this me I would be so tempted, but I would also, look at all the things I can do with 2, that would be a bit harder with 3. Two fit in my purse carrier easily - I can fly with 2 - don't know how I would do that with 3. I guess I would suggest that you examine how much would your life would change with 3. If none of the changes are big, and you think yours can adapt, then I would go for it
