| I was JUST thinking about this yesterday! We got Amelia as a baby in August of last year when our pool was still open. She fell in a few times & it nearly scared me (and her!) half to death. I would definitely recommend getting atleast one doggie ramp and making sure she knows where it is. It goes without saying to not leave your baby around the pool unattended.

| Some Yorkies are good swimmers. The biggest danger with a swimming pool is that if the Yorkie falls in the deep end where there are no steps to get out then many of them drown. I have heard of several dieing that way. You should never let your Yorkie in a yard with a pool unsupervised or at least I would not. It would be better if you could build a fence around your pool. |
